Develop a more efficient and effective enterprise! Increase revenue growth and productivity! Eliminate wasteful practices and maximize value!

These days, it is more difficult than ever to build a business that can remain competitive in a world where customers can find your competition with just the click of a mouse. While there is only so much you can do when it comes to adjusting your profit margins, you can still find success by adjusting the method that will complete the processes in making your business successful. Making a business into a Lean business can give it the competitive advantage that the perpetual buyers’ market takes away, but it can be more difficult than it first appears, which is why you need Lean Enterprise: The Complete Step-by-Step Startup Guide to Building a Lean Business Using Six Sigma, Kanban & 5s Methodologies.

As a whole, the Lean process is a group of useful tools that can be called upon to identify waste in the current paradigm either for the business as a whole or for its upcoming projects. Specific focus is also given to reducing costs and improving production whenever possible.

Inside, you will learn:

  • How to identify your core processes
  • Why Lean matters to your enterprise
  • Creating a Lean system
  • Setting Lean goals
  • Simplifying Lean as much as possible
  • Lean and production
  • Run a Lean office
  • Kanban, 5s, and Six Sigma

Short overview, but decent content

I hadn't checked the length before hand, and was hopping for a more in depth presentation of the material. However, it works as a decent Introduction and overview.

A comprehensive view of the new venture cycle

I'm delighted with Lean Startup because it bridges the practicalities involved in the creation of a venture to a framework that everyone can understand. It tilts the playing field towards the learning process, not the business plan design process, to help entrepreneurs understand how to experiment fruitfully and efficiently.

Lean startups within larger organizations

I would highly recommend this audio book to folks in the process of founding a startup, as well as to leaders and instigators within larger companies who are seeking to launch new developments using small cross functional teams in a leaner and more accelerated fashion than traditional waterfall development efforts.

Points important things about building a Business

Great audio book. It organizes the basic concepts about agile product development and who to set business strategy. The pivot concept is quite accurate and it helps technicians to understand why business value is also important for success - I came from a technical background and it is really common to find people that only things about the product, the core technology inside it, but never cares about the business so for me, this book makes sense totally.

Should be required listening for Lean Enterprise

This is a great, entertaining view of what entrepreneurship can be when it is done right. Not the be all and end all on the subject and the serious listener will want to dive into some of the other books on the subject.

Stunning impact, inspires clarity about Enterprise

Fast-forward having applied lean startup to two different startups, and the results are profoundly different. There's never a question for why we are building what we are building, how it's related to solving a real problem for real people & who will pay for the problem to be solved.

Too monotone

I really wanted to like this book, and I still want to learn the content. The reader’s voice, while pleasant, was too sterile and even for me so it was difficult to stay with the content. I couldn’t finish it.
