Summary

Nero mezzanotte con una punta di luna, indaco che sa di mirtillo, giallo della pesca matura un attimo prima che si stacchi dal ramo: Mio sa cogliere e nominare tutti i colori del mondo. Ha appreso l'arte dei dettagli invisibili guardando danzare ago e filo sui kimono da sposa, e ora i colori sono il suo alfabeto, la sua bacchetta magica, il suo sguardo segreto.

Aoi, invece, accompagna le persone nel giorno più buio: lui prepara chi se ne va e, allo stesso modo, anche chi resta. Conosce i gesti e i silenzi della cura. All'inizio sembra l'amore perfetto, l'incanto di chi scopre una lingua comune per guardare al di là delle cose. Ma il loro incontro non è avvenuto per caso.

Laura Imai Messina torna al romanzo con una storia luminosa e potente come un talismano, che ha il dono di guarire tutte le ferite. Comprese quelle dell'anima.

Piacevole ma con qualche riserva

Un'opera che sicuramente colpirà gli amanti del Giappone, perché si sente tutto l'amore dell'autrice.
La storia è bella e narrata con molta passione, ma per i miei gusti un po' troppo prolissa e infarcita di riflessioni su riflessioni. Decisamente non scorrevole.
La lettrice mi piace molto, ho ascoltato tanti suoi lavori, eppure qui a me suona un po' stucchevole. Probabilmente per effetto combinato con lo stile appunto per me troppo virtuosistico e cerebrale della scrittrice.
Ci sono almeno tre punti in cui la lettura di una frase si ripete, il montaggio quindi andrebbe rivisto (non li ho segnati, mi dispiace!!)
Nel complesso comunque un ascolto piacevole.
