The story is dark and full of twists but Mark’s sense of humour shines through as does his love for a very particular taste in music. I did prefer his book, ‘The Silent Patient’, but this story is also very good. I have more to look forward to from the same author.

Mark Billingham narrates his books brilliantly.

Another hit from an author fast becoming a favorite. A web intricately woven till the spider is ready to devour its prey.

Ticks all the boxes

maybe I have listened to too many Mark Billingham/Tom Thorne books, but Mark gets a bit monotonous doing the narration. There seems little change of tone and emphasis on dramatic parts of the story.

Good Plot..kept you guessing until the last hour

Enjoyed the characters and narration. Found the storyline a little obvious and not that great. Sorry.
