Loved Lola and Silas!
Aww 😍
I always knew Silas and Lola's story would be tricky.
I loved seeing how they first met, how their friendship developed, and then how they eventually moved to 'more'.
Anyone could see that they were perfect for each other, that they already loved each other dearly.
What I couldn't have seen coming was the absolutely heartbreaking story about WHY Silas was holding himself back.
I actually got frustrated with how much Silas held back; not only from Lola but essentially, the whole group. How he even functioned half the time? I have no idea.
Throw in his step-brother, all the history and grievances between them... something or someone was bound to give.
Watching Silas revisit his past was painful - absolutely heartbreaking.
Watching Lola comfort him and hold him together was beautiful.
Gah! I just loved these two together, so much.
My heart is happy.
Teddy and Virginia did a wonderful job with the narration.

Fantastic end to this amazing series
Charity Ferrell delivers an amazing, can't stop listening to, 'Last Round' ending to the fabulous Twisted Fox series and what a finale it is, brought to life yet again by an excellent choice of narrators!
Silas and Lola drew me in from the start of this series, with glimpses of their relationship and witty banter throughout. Although I have loved each and every couple's story, I was not expecting to go through so many emotions in this audio, from laughter, heartache, pain, tears, jealousy and love, I felt every emotion in this 'friends to lovers' story.
Silas, on the outside, is the ultimate playboy, and is instantly attracted to Lola, especially when he overhears her story of getting revenge on her ex lover. Despite Lola pulling the same stunt on Silas, he agrees to be her 'fake date' for a night at her father's work event. This 'fake date' leads to a friendship so deep, they become inseparable and ultimately, hiding their feelings for each other, as they don't want to risk ruining what they have. Fast forward a few years, throw in a step brother and a tragic secret that Silas blames himself for and Silas is forced to choose between coming to terms with his tragic past or letting go of the woman he loves.
After listening to this, I finally, truly understand the thrill of a 'slow burn, friends to lovers' story and what a treat it is. Not only does this story tick all the boxes, I loved how their friends always had their backs, no matter what they went through, with no judgement, just solid, reliable, friendship.
I cannot recommend both the 'Last Round' and the complete 'Twisted Fox' series enough, the author has excelled herself with this series and the epilogue set 12 years later, well Charity, this has surely got to set the foundations for a Twisted Fox 2 series set around their children?

Silas & Lola
What a great way to end the Twisted Fox series!! Silas and Lola’s story was amazing. It had all the feels and steam and the book wrapped everyone else’s stories.
I’m a huge Teddy Hamilton fan so I’m a little bias when I say he was amazing but… he was sooo amazing!! Virginia Rose was also brilliant and really brought all Lola’s sassiness to life.

Love me some Silas and Lola!
This book was such a good time, especially at the beginning. I loved how the characters were written. Charity Ferrell really knows how to write fun, likeable characters. Like, their banter with each other was unmatched!
I truly felt and saw the friendship between our main love interests develop. Which then led to them pinning for each other. The reason for them to have the mental push/pull on whether to get together or not was also very believable. All in all, I enjoyed it!
I’ve only read two books from this series so far, and I love both of them. But, if I had to rank them, this is my fav of the two so far! Loved it!
It’s giving strangers-to-best friends-lovers; It’s giving fake dating; It’s giving opposites attract… All my fav tropes basically! 🥰😊
