About this listen

DCI Matilda Darke is back. And it might be her most personal case yet.

‘Matilda Darke is the perfect heroine’ Elly Griffiths

FIVE PERFECT MURDERS

DCI Matilda Darke receives an anonymous email from someone claiming to have committed the perfect murder. Experience tells her this isn’t possible, but as she investigates, she discovers a killer questioning everything she’s ever known.

HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT

Now, Matilda is on the trail of a murderer who targets the most vulnerable people in society. Apart from ‘With Sympathy…’ cards, hand delivered to the family of his victims, he leaves no trace of his crimes.

A KILLER’S DEADLY GAME

As the threat escalates, and those closest to Matilda are targeted, she finds herself isolated and alone in bringing down her opponent before it’s game over. After all, there can only be one winner in this game of cat-and-mouse, and the clock is ticking…

Love your books, this one was just as great as the rest in the series, but a cliffhanger, please write the next one soon.

The next chapter in the Matilda Drake series did not disappoint. It kept me guessing all the way through full. Oh my what will the next book bring. Excellent penmanship Michael Wood.

Well I did not see that coming.

brilliant I love this author it never gets bogged down with unnecessary side stories or the need to show how clever the author is as some others do. you're kept guessing right to the very end highly recommended ! in fact start at the very beginning of the matilda dark series and you'll not be disappointed ! splendid well worth every penny x x x

another good good one ! start to finish guess work until the last 30 seconds

This is book is gripping in the way that all the books in this series are but the amount of tragedy that happens to the same individuals is starting to feel a bit unrealistic and repetitive. I don’t know what’s wrong with a story about characters who are outside the police team to give the main characters a bit of a break!

Starting to get a bit same-y
