About this listen

TRUE LOVE IS ALWAYS WORTH THE WAIT … ISN'T IT?

From the Sunday Times bestselling author of Just My Luck and Both Of You, comes an unputdownable novel about discovering what it truly means to find the love of your life…

Georgina has been in love with Hugh since she was eighteen. Tall, handsome and career driven, he's everything she ever wanted – but totally out of her league. Oh, and married.

Over the years, Georgina transformed herself into what she hoped Hugh would see as the ideal woman. And it paid off. At thirty-two, she now has the career, the body, and at last, the man she's always desired.

But her dream come true hits shaky ground when she falls pregnant. Already-father-of-two Hugh isn't overjoyed, and as Georgina grows bigger, so does the distance between them.

And with the clock ticking to her baby's arrival, Georgina has to ask herself – who is the real love of her life?

In my opinion: poor production generally, announcement of next paragraph very rushed, wrong worded used a few times, eg artillery when it should be artery. This really needed (better) proof listening. Really quite crude in one part - didn't like that AT ALL.
Not much characterisation which I think the producer should have addressed. Overall premise was good. It was okay but not the best.

Not the best

I like Adele Parks romcom books but this listen was unusual and I enjoyed it. What made it different was it was a cold and mechanical, there was passion but no genuine love between the characters. It was good seeing a different side to the affair.we never see the mistresses side only the wife and kids that have been left. Yes I think this is worth a listen especially on a daily deal, sale or 2 for 1 credit.

Unexpected

Not what I was expecting. I'd describe it as very upper class. Great conclusion.

Great ending.

I loved the story and performances but it absolutely annoyed me beyond belief when, at the the end of the last sentence of each chapter, the ‘Chapter 2/3/4 etc’ announcement was said completely on top of the last word of the previous chapter. How was this not fixed in the editing and finalising of this audio book? Anyone listening would know how weird it is - unlike any of her other books or any of the other 100+ audio books I have listened to. Please fix this and upload a fixed version!

Brilliant story but please add a breath before each new chapter!

I have enjoyed all of the author’s previous books, but I’m afraid I really found it hard to engage with any of the characters, except one (Libby). Georgina just wasn’t very likeable and I began to feel a bit sorry for Hugh by the end, despite his weaknesses. I hope her next book has warmer characters

Disappointing
