Okay

I cannot listen to this twice. I feel like it is condescending, maybe its perfect for simpletons. Corn itchy wow? So irritating.

Brilliantly helpful

Perhaps I AM a simpleton but in a few weeks of repeated listening I’ve learned enough to serve me very well (currently in Okinawa and very grateful for this book)
The amount of repetition of key phrases with some variation seems to me about right
I do agree with the reviewer that it is a bit over simplified and perhaps condescending in places but frankly I enjoy being able to coast through revisions of the easy stuff between struggling with the more challenging sections
But hey I’m a scientist not a linguist (nor am I a simpleton) and in a month I’ve achieved a very useful grasp of basic Japanese
