Summary

Nell'estate del 1940, un ragazzo di undici anni ascoltò il padre che leggeva e spiegava ai fratelli maggiori "l'Inferno" di Dante; le due estati seguenti toccò a "Purgatorio" e "Paradiso". Proprio quel ragazzo, che all'epoca capiva meglio il concerto delle cicale che non le terzine del poeta, mezzo secolo più tardi avrebbe spiegato e letto Dante ai microfoni della radio e in più di cinquecento letture pubbliche.

Vittorio Sermonti ha consentito a "qualunque italiano dotato di cultura media, intelligenza e un po' di passione di ripercorrere il più gran libro scritto in italiano senza interrompere continuamente l'avventura per approvvigionarsi di notizie e delucidazioni". Così è nato questo "racconto-lettura" della "Divina Commedia", qui raccolto integralmente. Una prosa insieme raffinata e colloquiale, accurata e ironica; letta dal principio alla fine con l'impudenza della prima volta, col batticuore dell'ultima.

Grazie!

Non credo si possano trovare una lettura e un’interpretazione superiori a quella di Sermonti. Dopo questo ascolto (durato qualche anno peraltro) altre letture della Commedia suonano quasi come filastrocche. Forse lo specialista avrà accesso a interpretazioni ancora più raffinate, ma l’ascoltatore alle prime armi (come me) troverà una guida inestimabile in questo audiolibro.
