Summary

Scotty:

When a gorgeous cop comes racing out of a building on Fifth Avenue, hops in your horse-drawn carriage, and screams, “Go!” - you go.

You don’t stop and ask for paperwork. Or a badge. Or an explanation of who you’re chasing. You simply follow his shouted orders and try not to kill anyone in the process.

At least, that’s what I did when it happened to me.

But then it turns out that the “cop” is none other than Roman Burke, Hollywood’s hottest star, and our little joyride gets me fired. Now I’m broke, my horse has been evicted from her barn, and I’ve got nowhere to turn.

Roman:

When you accidentally hijack a Central Park carriage to escape the paparazzi, get pulled over by the police, and your crisis manager insists you lay low for a while, you nod your head and go.

And when the cute carriage driver shows up on your front step, horse in tow, blaming you for losing his job, you agree to fix it. Even if that means hauling both him and his horse along with you on your Vermont getaway.

At least that’s what I did when it happened to me.

Unfortunately, trouble seems to stick to the sexy carriage driver like hot syrup on a hotter waffle, making my Vermont retreat anything but quiet.

Now the carriage driver is in my bed, unexpected guests are crawling out of the woodwork, and the paparazzi is on my tail. With chaos and scandal swarming around me, suddenly, it isn’t just my career on the line.

It’s my heart.

Could have done with some judicious editing!

The moral of this story...just because the first story was good, does not mean the second would be just as good. This one was horrible. It seemed forced and over the top. I’ve learnt my lesson. What a waste of money. Only redeeming quality was the narrator.

Great story

I enjoyed listening to the story develop. I liked the characters and their side stories also. I do enjoy work from this author and continue to grab books by this author.

Nice steamy scenes throughout too.

I'd recommend the author to everyone.

Beautiful Chaos

This was a book of some fun side characters. I laughed at all the Shenanigans these characters provided in the story. I think I’d like another book just to see what trouble they can all get into! The romance was sweet and I shed tears worrying about Nugget...lol. I love these authors!!!

just...bad.

This book read like someone who had no passion or interest in this story at all. Was there a deadline? Was this just for more cash? I've read Lucy Lennox before, but this was just bad. When people talk about books that fetishize gay men (neither had much of a personality other than lust) or "chicks with dicks"...this book is what they're talking about. disappointing because I know Lucy Lennox is capable of so much better.

Happy Ending? Happy when it ended!

I don’t listen to these for great stories or writing, but as a distraction. I bought this after listening to “IRL” by the same authors, and enjoying it. The premise isn’t bad, and the principle couple are interesting enough, but I think the authors were so desperate to create a “LOL” story, they brought in characters that were more annoying than charming. And if this is supposed to be a set up for another book in the series, I can’t think of a single secondary character in the story that I care about enough to bother listening to a 3rd book

You said… we said… and you… you can’t…- Roman

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes

Story comment: good pace, interesting characters and an entertaining story.
• Central Park carriage driver gets hijacked by famous actor • good character development • interesting supporting characters • and family chaos at Oscar's "cottage".

Narrator comment: I enjoyed Michael Pauley's narration of LOL. I had no problem distinguishing characters and the rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the book to life.

Funny! Witty!

Laughter, love, and lots of crazy characters! These are the highlights of this book. It was such a great, fun listen. Scotty was introduced in the previous book, when he gave Conor and Wells a ride through Central Park. This is his story, and what a story it was. One wild carriage ride later, and his life was up in the air with no place to land. That led him to Roman’s front porch, and this is when the meat of the story began. Will their close proximity lead to anything more? I will let you find out. This is book 2 in the After Oscar series, and can be read alone. The only common characters between book 1 and 2 were the unseen Oscar, and Scotty. It doesn’t spoil book 1 if you start with book 2. I recommend the entire series, though, as book 1 is as good as this one. I can’t wait to read more in the series. Lucy Lennox has already announced that the final book will be Oscar’s story. Michael Dean does a great job with all of the characters.

LOL for real!<br />

Hilarious to the point of stomach cramps and tears down my cheeks!
I only got about an hour into book 1 before giving up, but Im gonna have to give it another try for sure!
The erotic side of this book lacked a bit IMO.

Wild!

The premise of this book is interesting. A superstar accidentally causing problems for a regular guy and then having to deal with that can go a lot ways. The way this story goes is wild, and it's not wild because of the main characters. No, the side characters are the wild ones making this story kind of ridiculous. it could be seen as ridiculous in the funny way, but to me it was just a lot of uncontrollable events back to back. Very few of which served to strengthen the main relationship.

Great perfomance by Micheal Dean as usual. I'll see if I like the next book in this series any better.
