Summary

The Blockbusting, Best-Selling Crime Series with More than 250,000 Copies Sold Around the World

This exclusive, limited edition box set includes the fourth, fifth, and sixth books in the best-selling Knight & Culverhouse crime thriller series, plus an exclusive prequel novella.

ROUGH JUSTICE

When a man is found dead, mutilated in his house, DS Wendy Knight and DCI Jack Culverhouse soon realise that Jeff Brelsford was killed for one reason: He was a paedophile.

As Wendy does her job and tries to find the killer, Culverhouse is less keen. As far as he's concerned, this is justice.

With Culverhouse's attitude and stubbornness leaving him on the sidelines, Wendy delves deeper into the dark and murky world of Jeff Brelsford, and what she discovers is enough to shock her to her core.

Could it be that the killer was someone very close to home...a police officer?

IN TOO DEEP

DS Wendy Knight has endured both tragedy and pain in her short time with Mildenheath CID's murder squad. Her grizzled partner DCI Jack Culverhouse has seen it all. But neither of them is prepared for a case without a single lead.

A journalist with her finger on the pulse of Mildenheath’s corrupt underbelly is beaten within an inch of her life. With a comatose victim and a defenseless child as the only witness, Knight & Culverhouse must reveal the horrifying truth before the ruthless killer comes back to finish the job.

IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER

Father Joseph Kümmel is not just a deeply religious and spiritual man. He's the leader of a closed religious community at Hilltop Farm - one which kills members who want to leave.

When someone manages to get messages to DCI Jack Culverhouse and DS Wendy Knight about the goings-on at Hilltop Farm, they begin to uncover a web of dark deception and murderous intent. With a distinct lack of evidence and a community distrustful of the police, they’re left fighting against the odds.

The stakes are raised when their attempts to charge Father Joseph are blocked by higher powers. Will they be able to uncover the truth in time to stop his plans for a far more sinister fate for the residents of Hilltop Farm?

THE ROOKIE

An exclusive prequel novella

1981. Jack Culverhouse reports for his first day at Mildenheath CID and quickly learns that this job isn't quite what he thought.

Left to make a crucial decision, Jack opts for the wrong choice, and a dangerous criminal looks set to walk free. Needing a minor miracle to save his career from ending on his first day, Jack realises he's going to need to crack the case alone.

Adam Croft is the USA Today and worldwide Amazon number one best seller of crime and psychological thrillers, with more than one million books sold to date.

Another brilliant listen

Thanks Adam, for another entertaining set of books. Jack Culverhouse is an interesting character with immense depth. His gruff no nonsense policing is reminiscent of Gene Hunt, Jack Reagan, Tom Haggerty or Alan Craven. The insight into his first couple of days as a detective in the novella prequel, provided as part of this collection is really excellent. Anyone who was a fan of the Sweeney, Special Branch, or Life on Mars, or even the critically acclaimed Endeavour will absolutely love the Knight & Culverhouse books, I can thoroughly recommend them. Keep up the good work Adam.

Love them

Adam Croft generously gifted these 3 books and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Delighted to find a new author that writes excellent crime fiction. I will be purchasing more!

Badly edited - repeated phrases, erratic volume.

I have really enjoyed these stories, having started with the first 3 books, but the audible version is dreadful in the volumes 4-6 box set. About half way through, phrases are repeated, odd noises, and starts of sections so quiet as to be in audible but then slowly increases to ibtolerably loud. For this reason I will not be purchasing the Box set of volumes 7-9.

Infuriating lack of editing

It was kind of the author to give these books free.

BUT he has not corrected his bloopers. It's annoying, for example, to hear him mispronouncing a word then saying 'bollocks'.

And the volume varies hugely from chapter to chapter.

Good authors don't have to use the "f" bomb.

Why is it you feel the need to ruin your stories by including "f" bombs?

Loving Knight & Culverhouse Read

I like the series but I especially like that the author narrates the book. Who better to read to you, make you feel the experience, the expressions, than the author! Genius!
I love the characters, I love just the right amount of details, and I like the story lines.

The recording was distracting.

The storyline is okay and I find that I like Culverhouse and Knight. The narration is great but the whirring sound in the background is annoying. I feel like I'm listening to a old fashioned tape recorder.

bad editing

I love this author...but some of these chapters are cut off mid sentence...they refer to things that were never mentioned in the audio recording. There no indication of this being abridged
