If you like Peter James, Mark Billingham and James Patterson, you won't be able to put down the compelling Inspector Hardy series.

When Inspector James Hardy learns the body of a young woman discovered in the River Thames is that of a friend, his life goes into a tail-spin. The victim’s flatmate is on the run for her life. She could be the key to catching the killer. In a race against time, Hardy must track her down before the killer does. As the truth behind the investigation unfolds, Hardy’s own family come under threat. With two young daughters to protect and an investigation that twists and turns, Hardy finds himself pushed to the limit. With his every move scrutinised by the press, a witness on the run, and a killer growing in confidence, how will Hardy handle the pressure and solve the investigation?©2019 Jay Gill (P)2022 W. F. Good start and believable characters. It was too drawn out for me and I dislike books where the detective ends up being a 'poor me' character.
Narrator was okay but at times I wasn't sure which character was supposed to be speaking .....they all sounded the same.
I won't be listening to any more from this author.

Not for me.

Richard Fox is the best story narrator I have heard by a long way but unfortunately the story this time was sadly lacking. Yes it was exciting but DCI James Hardy came across as a very weak hero and a little bit clueless. I don’t think that I will be carrying on with this series.

Brilliant narration but not such a good story

GOOD STUDY OF THEORIES RE BOTH CASES Also people on both sides show what they want you to see
Action filled

2 ruthless killers keep story going

Our hero seemed very slow on the uptake. He kept "realising" things when it was too late

Humdrum
