wasn't keen on the narrators of some characters. the voice of lucinda came across too blunt.
was pretty much foreseeable until the end which I didn't like, I would have much preferred the happy ending that was expected considering the storyline all the way through.

Towards the end the storyline was easy to predict but an enjoyable read nonetheless. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I really like Christie Barlow’s books but why oh why ruin then by persistently using the whining, baby voiced narrator! It’s beyond me. I think I’ll read rather than listen Good story though.

I listen to a lot of books and sometimes I like a gentle easy listen. This was a great book for that.
It did make me cry in a couple of places, but that was only because I associated with the topic.
