I absolutely love Suzanne’s books! I can't help but binge them. I really enjoyed the relationship between Kit and Caro. I liked that we got both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Vanessa and Teddy did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like second chance romances, brother's best friend romances, contemporary romances, or romantic suspense.

Kit...

This is a first book I have from SM WEST. All I can say is Wow. So many twists just when I think I have it figured out. I couldn't put this down.
as always Teddy and Vanessa were amazeballs.

Thrilling!

The biggest mistake Caro ever made was ending her relationship with Kit. Now she has a second chance of making things right but Kit’s priority is keeping Caro safe from the bad guys intent on harming her. As the heat rises between them so does the threat against them in this thrilling, fast paced, steamy suspense. I highly recommend KIT (Scarred Hearts #2) it’s an exciting race against time romance, brought to life by wonderful narrators!

Kit was honestly just the best!

When Caro seems to unknowingly find herself in the middle of a dangerous situation, both her and Kit must find out the details of what is going on and help keep her from danger. This is complicated further as they are exes whom had a complex and difficult breakup.

‘Kit’ is the second book in the Scarred Hearts series, but can be read as a standalone.

What I loved most about this book was how much chemistry Kit and Caro had. Both introduced in the first book, I was looking forward to seeing their story explored further and them getting their happy ending. Kit was so lovely to read about. He was strong, protective, but also, soo sweet. He was honestly just the best! Sweet, rugged & protective! All in the best ways. I also loved seeing the introspective work Caro did on the previous relationship and letting go of all the judgement she had for Kit in the past and finally exploring their relationship!

This second chance romantic suspense had me on the edge of my seat throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Both Vanessa Edwin & Teddy Hamilton did amazingly with the narration. They brought the characters to life and I enjoyed the experience!

Romantic suspense second chance for people who don’t like second chance (and those who do)

I have a confession: I saw this audiobook written by S.M. West and narrated by Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton, so I downloaded the audiobook without reading anything else about it. I was a bit worried when I (very quickly) realized it was second chance, but was pleasantly surprised that it avoided most of the relationship drama that I dislike about second chance. It's also listed as 'brother's best friend', which is technically true, but it's not typical of that trope either (in a good way). Kit is a stand alone novel, but the characters from the first book (Prophet) appear frequently in this one. There's not a lot of background information about the characters included in the story, but I think that's more a result of the action-based writing style and less about being the second in series.

I'm familiar with Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton, and their performances did not disappoint. I'm sure that I liked the story more because I listened to it. Both narrators kept me engaged throughout the story.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, and the opinions here are my own.

Excellent

Oh how I love Kit! He is a lovely character and I’m so happy he has met his other half. This storyline is brilliant, with great characters and an action packed storyline i was hooked. A fantastic performance from both Vanessa and Teddy.

Kit

The dual narration of Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton was just perfect for this great book.

I fell in love with this book from the very first sentence. You know it will be a fast paced and full of action book.

Kit and Caro have history and it didn't end well. A second chance of making things right but Kit’s priority is keeping Caro safe from the bad guys intent on harming her. You will find a story which is filled with danger, suspense, twists, action.

Second chances and true love

Caro broke Kit’s heart when she left him. But when she is in danger he doesn’t hesitate to help her. Unknown phone messages, dangerous explosions and an new drug used in Toronto are the secret they may unravel to save her from the people pursuing her. Will Caro acknowledge her true feeling fro Kit and given them a second chance? The audiobook is great, Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton make an amazing job with all the emotions and action of the story

Fantastic Romantic Suspense!

SM West never disappoints! I await her audio releases and I was caught up in Caro and Kit's story from chapter one! Caro and Kit were once together. Kit, Caro's brother's best friend, has a checkered past, always doing what was needed to keep his family afloat. When Caro could take it no longer, they broke up and went their separate ways. Now Caro is a doctor, and her clinic has been bombed! To keep her safe, her brother Nick calls in his best friend to keep her safe. Will she accept his help? Will their smoldering feelings reignite? I loved this story! It's not only a second chance at love, but the story is full of suspense! Twists, turns, surprises and the bursting love keep this story alive and flowing. I couldn't stop listening! It's a great addition to the Scarred Hearts series!

I love both Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton and were thrilled to see they were teamed up to tell this story! Both are capture their characters so perfectly, it's not even an effort for them to keep me engaged. I enjoyed this narration and hope to see more of them together!

Kit & Caro!

Kit by S.M. West is a second chance suspenseful romance that I totally loved!

Caro and Kit ex lovers - find themselves in the middle of a dangerous situation that proves rather complicated when they still have all the heat and chemistry from the past.

Caro loved Kit with all of her heart however, she knew the type of work he was in was something that she couldn't allow in her life. Cutting ties, as heartbreaking as it is, was the only way Caro could move on.

I adored that big strong Kit was able to be so vulnerable and in love with the one who got away. West, writes an intriguing suspense story and a heartwarming love story.
