A very well written and narrated book, such a sad tragic story of a once beautiful Hollywood actress. I have always been somewhat morbidly fascinated by Barbara Payton’s story and this audio book did not disappoint. It’s full of unbiased detail and gives a very fair description of talented young lady who unfortunately found herself on the path of self destruction without a too harsh judgment on her character. Very much enjoyed.

The author is really devoted to his subject. He is compassionate and un judgemental, but does not sugarcoat her horrific fall from grace.
