Whoever convinced me to join the gym needs to be hung, drawn, and quartered. Or, at the very least, suffer with a pillow hot on both sides every night, because this? This is terrible.

Running? No thank you.

Lifting? Who needs biceps anyway.

Now, I will say the eye-candy is nice. Especially my new personal trainer with the tattoos and dimples. But that’s all he can ever be: eye candy.

Because he’s fit and I’m not.

He’s gorgeous and I’m, well, me.

He’s hearing…and I’m Deaf.

For some people that might not be an issue, but for me, I have rules. And I’m a stubborn man who will not break them, not even for that sexy crooked smile that almost makes me forget my own name.

But I don’t date men who can’t speak my language, and while we can say plenty with our bodies, that’s where our communication ends.

Still, the longer I spend with him, the more I’m starting to realize there may be more to this relationship than frantic, feral office hook-ups. After all, he might be the first hearing person to learn sign for me. And he’s one of the first people I’ve ever known to make me feel worthy.

So maybe, just maybe, that’s worth a little compromise.

Loved the book, found it touching and hilarious so looked forward to the audiobook. Excellent dramatisation and voice actor brought it to life.

I really enjoyed this one. I am familiar with Cora Rose from before this and I love all of their books. I could not sleep last night since I could not stop listening to this emotional story. I loved the narration aswell. I'm hoping to get more in this series since there are a lot of other characters I would like to get an happy ending 😍

Wish I’d DNF to be honest. This was hard work. Robbie is awful, spiteful half the time and has very few redeeming qualities. Thom was the better character and deserved Way better. So much happens off page that it catches you off guard when something only the reader knows suddenly pops us as knowledge for the MC. The pacing and continuity was all over the place. The ages of the characters are unknown but I’d guess early 30’s.. but my god they act like teens from the beginning to the end. I’ve never been so irritated reading spice. I live for spicy MM but this is cringe. From their first meeting in a public gym they’re walking round with a stiff one and for literally no reason.. like they just look at each other the first time meeting and “oh no..I’m hard” it’s so juvenile. It goes on like this the entire book and it doesn’t feel right..it actually feels borderline creepy. Really disappointing as I love a disability rep and this one had potential with having Deaf/Hearing MCs. Harley was good narrating but that’s kinda all it had going for it. I’ve given 1.5 stars for the Deaf community knowledge!
