About this listen

The third novel from the acclaimed author of Kill the Father, a Richard and Judy 2017 Bookclub pick and Sunday Times bestseller, this thriller is multi-layered, complex, full of twists and turns and satisfyingly dark – one of those novels you just have to read late into the night.

Praise for Kill the Father:

I hope the author has more books are translated to English as this author is brilliant. I use audible to relax in the evenings and kill the king/angel/ father books have had me on the edge of my seat! I'm so sad to have finished them for the second time as I love the relationship between Dante and Cece.

brilliant trilogy

I won't be reading another of his books. Too much like Aaah I'm kidnapped. oh I'm free. Aaah I've been kidnapped again...oh I'm free...

Repeat of the other 2 books. I kept falling asleep

I absolutely loved the first two books when I read them a few years ago. I stumbled across the conclusion of the trilogy on here and was really excited. But hmmmmm...... it's not as strong as the previous two.

The narrator is excellent and carries the story along. The story itself starts well and had me gripped. There's a few twists and turns and the main charactera are genuinely interesting. But the story goes on just too long. And it gets quite repetitive after a while. It's as if the author literally throws everything they can think of at the book, so we have murder, kidnap, murder, more kidnapping, terrorist attacks, questioning what we thought we knew about previous books, conspiracy theories etc etc and I've still got three hours to go!!!! I'm pretty bored because there doesn't seem to be a coherent story any more. I'm just waiting for it to end. It's ok but nowhere near as clever as it thinks it is. Sometimes, less is more.

it's good but not as good as the other 2
