Summary

Held in a bunker by sadistic kidnappers, who can save these girls?

Kill for Me is the brilliant third and final thriller in the Philadelphia/Atlanta series, by bestselling author Karen Rose.

The clock is ticking....

Susannah Vartanian's life changed overnight when, as a teenager, she was viciously raped by a sadistic gang of youths. Now she won't allow anyone to get close to her.

Luke Papadopoulos is approaching burn-out. As a detective working on sex-crimes against children, he will do anything to find those responsible for such evil atrocities.

Monica Cassidy's life is under threat. Held in a bunker with ten other teenage girls, she barely escaped with her life when her kidnappers fled, killing five of the girls as they left. Now Monica is the only one free who can identify her abductors, and they know where she is.

Can they work together to find the five missing girls? The clock is ticking....

Kill For Me was better then Scream For Me

I first heard Scream for me which I listened to if I had things to do, but Kill For Me had me listening till it was finished I couldn't take my headphones off you learn everything that wasn't explained in the first Scream For Me. No spoilers would very much recommend Karen Rose Kill For Me. The twist and truths enough make your head spin well mine did lol...

Too many characters

I nearly gave up on this but decided to push on with it. There are so many characters that I started to get a bit confused about who did what etc.. ... I tend to listen while I am doing cooking or housework or similar so maybe I don't give 100% attention, but I did find it a bit of a struggle.
I also realised why I haven't bought any Karen Rose for a while. I don't enjoy the references to how on a new meeting 'our hero' wants to sleep with ...... and the general sexual tone where it is not appropriate. I am not a prude, but I don't enjoy looking onto private situations and thoughts!
The story was OK, a trifle far fetched, a reasonable idea, just taken to an extreme.

Awful narration

Have read and enjoyed all Karen Rose books in print and was delighted to be able to add Audible and enjoy as bedtime stories . The first few were great but, oh dear, this woman, with her silly accents and over the top "emotions" makes me cringe and totally ruins the experience. Please, please no more!!!

3rd book in the Philadelphia / Atlantic series

This book follows directly on from 'Kill for me' and ' Scream for me'.

If you enjoyed those you will love this one!!

I would suggest that reading the previous books first is a good idea.

Lost the will to live

What would have made Kill for Me better?

I found the story disjointed, wasn't overly keen on the narrator and I just couldn't get into it.

Would you ever listen to anything by Karen Rose again?

I listen to an audio book every few days whilst on car journeys and dog walking. I have listened to books by Karen Rose before and enjoyed them.

Would you be willing to try another one of Tara Ward’s performances?

Only in a story that flows better.

What character would you cut from Kill for Me?
