Summary

A thrilling prequel story to the best-selling, award-winning A Good Girl's Guide to Murder!

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is the winner of the British Book Awards' Children's Book of the Year 2020 and was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2020.

Pippa Fitz-Amobi is not in the mood for her friend’s murder mystery party. Especially one that involves 1920s fancy dress and pretending that their town, Little Kilton, is an island called Joy. But when the game begins, Pip finds herself drawn into the make-believe world of intrigue, deception and murder.

But as Pip plays detective, teasing out the identity of the killer clue by clue, the murder of the fictional Reginald Remy isn’t the only case on her mind....

Find out where it all began for Pip in this prequel to the best-selling A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and Good Girl, Bad Blood.

Entertaining and engaging.

Holly Jackson knows her stuff! Super gripping and fun. A nice complement to the Good Girls Guide to murder trilogy.

Fantastic!

A fantastic little book, I read A Good Girls Guide To Murder before realising this is the prequel, this is a fantastic read, it only takes 3 hours, but it is great to get to know the characters that you will meet in the next books. Full of twists and turns with a fantastic ending. Can't wait to listen to the last remaining 2 books in the series.

Nice addition to the series

I liked this little addition to the series. you get to know a bit more about the characters and motivations. I think it is better if you have read the good girl's guide to murder first actually, makes some things have more significance. Overall, a good short "murder" mystery.

read the trilogy first

this book was amazing and an amazing addition to my favourite book series! i have read and re read these books over the last yr & 1/2 and i personally think that it’s better to read the trilogy (especially the original agggtm book) first as you notice things that make more sense after you know more about the characters :)

Worst book ever

So boring so cheesy, literally a waste of time just so it can set the stage for how pip decided to do her project, yawn.

Boring

Boring, very short book and doesn’t really make sense as part of the series. Not worth a credit.
