keto bodybuilding

very good I know a lot when it comes to keto and bodybuilding,, and have learnt a little bit more ,this guy knows his stuff very in depth, a few people on here complain about audio recording ,I found it ok ,I think it's just his accent he is foreign but his English very good, this guy is a very clever guy and will be looking for more stuff from him not keto or diet as he says it all here ,but he comes out with other stuff, I listen to about 4audio books a month and very rarely do reviews , so well done siim 👍

Packed with good information

The book is very good and motivational as well.
I understand people have trouble with the guy's accent. He should have a professional actor doing the recording, however,
I put the speed to 1.25 and worked perfect :)

A fully comprehensive book on Keto bodybuilding

A fantastic book covering all aspects of Keto particularly for sport & bodybuilding , Siim goes into full physiological details enabling you to learn exactly what’s going on inside our bodies. He thoroughly compares the effects of glucose vs running on ketones. Well worth a read if your starting out on a Keto diet & strength train.

Terrible recording, reasonable content

The reader of the audiobook should never be allowed to record again. Shockingly bad deliver even if the content was interesting.

Great subject matter but a terrible book

I've been following a ketogenic diet for about 7 months now. I could write a few pages on the number of positive benefits that I've benefited from by eating this way -- it's literally changed everything in my life from my mood, waistline, hair and fingernails, energy level, memory recall, cognitive function, biomarkers, blood lipid tests, etc. I understand that it may not work for everyone but it has been remarkable for me and I'll likely follow some version of it for the rest of my life.

I also lift weights and have done so for several decades. I decided after a few months doing keto that even if I lost lean muscle mass that I could live with that given the changes that I was seeing on the diet. But, to my surprise, I found better gains via keto after having been on it for about three months.

So, when I saw the title and description of this book I immediately purchased it as I was hoping to better understand some basis for my own experiences concerning this subject. Unfortunately, the book was almost a complete let down for me. I nearly stopped listening after the first five minutes as it seemed that the audiobook had almost been published as some sort of joke. I got better toward the end although I'm not a fan of cyclical or targeted ketogenic diets as I believe that carb refeeds take one out of ketosis for too long and that this takes away from the benefits I believe are associated with this diet/lifestyle.

There are so many great ketogenic resources available and many of them are free on youtube: Dr. Volek, Dr. Attia, Dr. Phinney, Dominic D'Agustino, Dr. Wahls, etc. Even Jimmy Moore's book was quite good.

I really wanted to get something out of this book. For starters, I think the author would have been better served by hiring a professional narrator and to remove the various references to becoming "Greek gods" and similar "bro" messaging.

Returned this one

The author REALLY should have hired voice talent. I can't even tell you if the book ended up being any good... The performance was not good at all so after several hours of listening to him talking about what a press is in lifting and the "Greek gods" of past (body builders) that we should look to because of their physique... I threw in the towel. I bought the book to learn the specific tweaks that I'd need to make to a standard keto diet. I never got to any of that after several hours of listening so I called audible to return it! My suspicion from other reading is that you need a bit more protein if you are wanting to build mass instead of simply a maintenance amount. Time will answer that since Siim seemed to have an issue getting to that point!

It is very hard to listen to

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The guy has good content, straight to the point. He explains stuff nicely.

But he has a terrible voice. Awful voice! I had to install some sound fx's tools (breakaway) to improve his voice...

The keto everything book

I love this book, I've listened to it 4 times and sent it to 4 friends. If you are looking for a book on ketogenic a lifestyle this will sum it up for you . For me all the research has been provided and compiled by this author. Big thanks to Siim for gathering all this valuable information.
