Meet them in Tess Gerritsen’s bestselling series.

HE HIDES, HE KILLS, HE KEEPS . . .

Forensic Pathologist Maura Isles is asked to attend an intriguing examination. An ancient mummy has been found in a museum basement, prompting great media excitement. But with horror she realises that it's not as ancient as they thought...A very modern bullet is showing up on the scan.

Detective Jane Rizzoli is called to investigate and soon discovers a second - and then a third - mummified body. Who is this killer and why does he preserve his victims so meticulously?

And who will be the next to join his monstrous collection?

Critic reviews

A seamless blend of good writing and pulse-racing tension (INDEPENDENT)
Tess is at the classiest end of crime writing. On reading her you know that you are in the hands of a master (Boyd Hilton)
Spectacularly gory and utterly gripping in equal measure

This was great, with some good twists and the concept itself was intriguing, with the different ways of preserving the bodies.

For me though it lacked a little focus on Jane and Maura, two characters that I love, other than that it was a good listen.

Not one of my favourites in the series

Bit slow for a while but the end it great and unexpected. A few twists along the way. Can be hard to follow the people initially

Gripping end

It was an emotional rollercoaster. I felt for each of the characters and understood them. I felt each emotion as though it was happening to me. An amazing book and would recommend to everyone.

The books just keep getting better
