Summary

Keeping your love on is a hard thing to do. Sometimes it’s the hardest thing to do. But if you want to build healthy relationships with God and others, learning to keep your love on is non-negotiable. Adults and children alike thrive in healthy relationships where it is safe to love and be loved, to know and be known. Yet for many, relationships are anything but safe, loving, or intimate. They are defined by anxiety, manipulation, control, and conflict. The reason is that most people have never been trained to be powerful enough to keep their love on in the face of mistakes, pain, and fear.

Keep Your Love On reveals the higher, Jesus-focused standard defined by mature love - love that stays "on" no matter what. Danny Silk’s practical examples and poignant stories will leave you with the power to draw healthy boundaries, communicate in love, and, ultimately, protect your connections, so you can love against all odds. As a result, your relationships will be radically transformed for eternity. When you learn to keep your love on, you become like Jesus.

⛏🤭🏺Like finding hidden treasure...

This is THE starting place for healthy relationships. But DON’T BE FOOLED into thinking this is basic or that you won’t learn anything. This book is transformative for people lovers at EVERY level. Danny Silk has a super power. 💪😍💥 He can take really complex matters of the heart and can turn them into truths so simple, they feel obvious. 🤯 There are so many good books out there...much lengthier books that expound on issues for couples, for parents, for dealing with difficult people... But somehow, this concise little gem of a book has all that, yet remains delightfully simple. It is a wise man indeed who spends his entire life expanding his capacity to love. “Keep Your Love On” is a treasure trove of wisdom for a lifetime of growth. If we could all meet one another HERE ⬇️, what a wonderful it would be. 👫❤️✨🌎✨❤️

Something I will read/listen to over and over

Valuable information that I wish I had been taught when I was growing up. I will listen to or read this book for many years to come to be reminded of the lessons that it holds. It can be so challenging at times but the rewards are priceless if you can learn to "keep your love on."

Practical lessons in loving

Great insight in how we can truly love, be strong, not be controlled and not feel the need to control others. Real love the way God intends.

Balanced

I love how balanced this book is. The emphasis is on loving and what that really looks like with Christ as the model. I have read books about always loving and also on boundaries. This book shows why it is necessary to tend your garden if you want to truly be a loving person.

Transformational Life Changing Book !

I have listened to and read this book several times. It is the best book on relationships I have EVER read. The principles are powerful, but can take a while to grasp and apply to your life. Especially if you have come from a broken background. Nevertheless, it is transformational once you start applying Being Powerful, Choosing Love over Fear, Have a Goal of Connection, Practice Respectful Communication and Honor Healthy Boundaries. I also listen to the KYLO Show on YouTube. This Podcast goes even deeper into the concepts of this book that Danny Silk has put together and is also hosted by his daughter Britney. I have finally found a practical pathway to be whole and healthy in relationships. Whole Healthy families are going to Save the World!

Absolutely vital

I’ve been plugged into Danny’s podcasts and this crazy idea that we need to be powerful in relationships by keeping our love on and allowing others to be powerful as well. This book was a beautiful reminder of getting out of the victim mindset taking away the power of a bad guy to control my life and in fact make decisions as a powerful person to keep my love on no matter what. And to be able to have the tools to walk out healing and boundaries in damaged relationships thank you Danny for the culture you are feeding into and thank you to your family for their persistence in staying powerful and helping others see their power.
