Summary

Brilliant funny Listen
The aliens have spent Nine hundred years just getting to earth, have they bit off more than they can chew by making Karen their enemy
Karen is Rude, sarcastic. Fowl mouthed , has a problem with authority and did I MENTION RUDE. The aliens don't know what they are messing with.
This is a laugh out loud funny story. I will be reading and listening to more by this author

Hilariously funny, but lacking a suitable narrator
Disclaimer: I was provided a copy of this book, free of charge, in exchange for an honest review.
After Noobs, I realised that Simon Carr has the sense of humour I liked, that being rude, caustic and foul. It was for this reason that I was so excited to listen to this adventure and, for the most part, it's been just as good, if not better.
So here we have the tale of an alien invasion, years in the making and the Earth woman inadvertently at the centre of the attack and those who seek to threat it. It's full of British humour and a wonderful sense of both Mel Brookes style comedy and the British self-deprecation we're well known for.
The narration is fine, but the lack of a British voice is really detrimental to the audio, and while Skye does a brilliant job of narrating, there is a real sense of missed timing and delivery on jokes that maybe I only us Brits have a clear grasp of.
In all though, it's both a funny book, a charming self-ribbing we love and a guide to how to handle Managers at Nandos.

Get Me Your Manager..
Another hilarious tale from Simon. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. A solid effort. Well done. Similar to what another review pointed out, this is British in nature (references, slang, style of humor etc.) and just every so often, I felt the delivery missed the mark, because it was narrated in an American accent. Still very funny though. I give Karen 5 stars.

Bonkers
Warning : This audiobook is not suitable for minors, adults of a nervous disposition or anyone called Karen
Once again Simon Carr delivers a madcap, lunacy filled tale from the deep recesses of his dark creative mind.
Karen is a another laugh-out-loud episode in the Apocalyse Blockers series and is filled with hilarious dialog from start to finish
If you're not a fan of British humour or excessive expletives then leave this one on the shelf, otherwise fill your boots and then check out the rest of the books in the series.
Why doesn't this have 5 stars? The use of an American narrator for a book that is very British in tone. But's that's just my opinion being British myself

Yes that Karen!
Karen is looking for a manager, the only problem is she was looking for one on a spaceship in the middle of space with aliens who want to take over the world. Unfortunately for them they put their portal right and Karen’s front garden and after a drunken night she inadvertently went through it. She is the only thing between awesome and aliens… God help us all! I read this book on Kindle and now I have listen to it on audible and I must say a rather the Kindle version. Karen lives in Council housing somewhere in Britain and so I was expecting to hear a British accent and was disappointed when the narrator sounded American. I thought you did an OK job but sounded stilted and parts of a reading. I still love Simon cars books and would listen to them if the Cookie Monster read them, but having said that I just wish he would get British narrators, Because most of these books or set in Britain. I highly recommend this book it is still funny and laugh out loud good time!

Hilarious space adventure!
Karen by Simon Carr is a hysterically funny story of space invaders that come face to face with the dreaded Karen! The Earth’s best hope for survival is squarely on the shoulders of a layabout sponger who would rather confront a manager than do anything meaningful. The narration by Skye Alley is terrific, although I was expected a British narrator since that’s where the story is set. Nevertheless, it’s a great story and great narration.

Entertaining
Entertaining to say the least. I didn’t know where this story was going to go when I started listening to it. It was a combination of laughing and shaking my head in amusement through the whole thing. I would definitely listen again and recommend as a quick, fun listen if you’re not easily offended haha.

Absurd Science Fiction Story
I was entertained by this story. The story featured an alien race that was planning on taking over the earth, but they had to deal with Karen first. The story was amusing and there were times I laughed out loud. There were times that the humor was so extreme that it could also be described as farcical. There was some foul language also. Skye Alley's narration was great, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Hilarious!
This author definitely knows his Karens.
This book is less than 3 hours long, so it's kind of a longish short story.
Apparently, you don't need to listen to the first 3 books in the series to understand what's going on here in book 4. I didn't even know this book was part of a series until after I had listened to it. I guess there are like 12 books currently in this series.
I got this book for free with the expectation of an honest review.
Apart from the narrator speaking with a US accent and this book being based in the UK and outer space, it is really good. (I is quite annoying listening to this story with the American accent.) (And I'm a yank.)

Good stoty
Karen is hilarious. This is a great story. My only problem with this is the narrator. This story would much better with a difference narrator. The narrator has just one voice, where other narrators use different voices for different characters. Even with this problem this is a good story and a great laugh.

Fantastic!
