Summary
Jupiter War is the third audiobook in Neal Asher's near-future science-fiction Owner series.
Alan Saul is now part human and part machine, and our solar system isn't big enough to hold him. He craves the stars but can't leave yet. His sister, Var, is trapped on Mars, on the wrong side of a rebellion, and Saul's human side won't let her die. He must leave Argus Station to stage a dangerous rescue - but mutiny is brewing onboard, as Saul's robots make his crew feel increasingly redundant.
Serene Galahad will do anything to prevent Saul's escape. Earth's ruthless dictator hides her crimes from a cowed populace as she readies new warships for pursuit. She aims to crush her enemy in a terrifying display of interstellar violence.
Meanwhile, the Scourge limps back to earth, its crew slaughtered, its mission to annihilate Saul a disaster. There are survivors, but while one seeks Galahad's death, Clay Ruger will negotiate for his life. Events build to a climax as Ruger holds humanity's greatest asset - seeds to rebuild a dying Earth. This stolen Gene Bank data is offered at a price, but what will Galahad pay for humanity's future?

Excellent trilogy of quality writing and narration
I have just finished the whole trilogy in about 10 days. It's been a while since I had a story as well written and as well narrated as this was. And having said that, I'm not going to pick holes in either as some reviewers do. I just enjoyed the concept, the continuity, the characters and the excellent narration. Best sifi writing I have experienced in a long time. Thanks.

Fantastic classic sf series
I have been reading sf for 50 years since my first Robert Heinlein novel at the age of 9
Rarely have I been as enthralled as by this series.
The narrator was also perfect
Strongly recommended

Great story telling
Asher really does tell a great story. He's good on tech detail too, with innovative descriptions of future science.
This, the third book in the owner series, details Alan Saul's further transformation into machine life as he carries his human crew into battle with Earth's forces and ultimately the fascist, narcissistic dictator Serene Gallahad. He continues to mix up socialism and fascism, but hey, that's his preference and is the only thing that spoils an otherwise superb military SciFi novel.

Not the best of Neal Asher
I have recently discovered Neal Asher books and I am ploughing through them with relish, sadly the owner trilogy is not to my taste and I was left somewhat disappointed by the end of this book, I will keep reading and listening to his books though as I really am enjoying the majority of them.

excellent trilogy
I've never read Neal Asher before but I've enjoyed this series as much as any Iain m banks books. he actually had me wondering at times whether the genocidal maniac was really the one who should come out on top at the end.
my enjoyment was in no small part down to the narrator too, Peter noble gas done an excellent job of all three books and I'll look out for others he has narrated.

Imaginative, with a far reaching scope.
I’m very happy to write, this was not what I expected.
It was so much better.
