Summary

Confronting fears is often scarier than hiding them away, unless you face them together...

Josie Hudson has survived horrors no one should ever have to endure. Retreating to the wilderness has allowed her to cope with the past by avoiding things that remind her of the ordeal. When a trusted mentor asks for a special favor, Josie is forced out of her place of comfort and directly into the unknown.

Travis Wilder confronts life as a competition he is determined to win. Being second best to a girl is not an option. Agreeing to lead a group of pioneers on the Oregon Trail seems like the perfect opportunity to earn some respect. Learning how to work alongside his greatest competitor is only the first thing he will discover on this journey.

Travis and Josie have grown up together in the valley known as Harley’s Hole. Despite the years spent in the same place, they have remained strangers. Working together to keep the weary emigrants safe opens their eyes to the truth about themselves and each other. Will they be able to conquer their fears before they must part ways forever?

Content: Mild language, mild violence, intimacy (non-descriptive) between married adults.

Excellent!

Another excellent story by Peggy L Henderson, full of love, adventure, and healing a traumatized heart & soul. Cody Roberts does a fantastic job telling this story with his smoothe, caring voice. I love that Henderson tells her stories without foul language or descriptive sex. Listening to this book makes me want to go back and read all of this series again!

Healing from Trauma of the Past

Cody Roberts is excellent as narrator, as always. He brings the story to life, as well as the essence of each character.
For over 8 years, Josie Hudson had been living almost a hermit’s life, isolated from people except her family in Harley’s Hole. After being brutally attacked and raped, her sister sold their Ohio farm left to them upon their mother’s death, set out for the Oregon Territory. Along the way, however, they settled in the quiet valley and made it home. Despite being surrounded by her loving family, Josie still balked at being around other people, especially men.
When Harley asked her to do the biggest favor imaginable, Josie reluctantly agreed to guide a wagon train of mostly women and children back east. To her dismay, her cocky brother-in-law, Travis Wilder decided to come along as scout and second guide.
Hardships, trials, frayed nerves, and dangers threatened her at every turn. Through it all, Josie would need to summon the courage to face the challenges as well as her fears.
This is the 4th book in the Wilderness Brides series. Well-developed characters and a wonderful storyline make this a great read. I enjoyed listening to it and hated for it to end.

Josie's Valor Wilderness Brides Book 4

I enjoyed this audiobook written by Peggy L. Henderson and narrated by Cody Roberts. Full of wonderful characters from the first 3 audiobooks, I enjoyed listening to Travis's and Josie's story. Plenty of adventure, angst, a bit of suspense only made the romance sweeter. Listening to Cody Roberts narrating the book was a delight, love his voice and how he uses it, he is very convincing in each part he plays. Recommend this one and all of Peggy L. Henderson's audiobooks. JudyE

Awsome audible written by Peggy L. Henderson

I love Ms. Henderson’s stories and Josie’s Valor is a wonderful and beautiful story.
With Cody Robert’s bringing to light with his smooth voice and ability to do all kinds of voices this audible book was as good as I expected. I had read the story and loved it but hearing it was a wonderful way to hear it and still be able to do something else as well.
I highly recommend this audible and all of Ms. Henderson’s audibles as well as all of her books. You won’t regret it.

Josie’s Valor

This is another well written book in the Wilderness Brides series. It was interesting to see how Josie and Travis fell in love and overcame their obstacles . I love the way Peggy is linking and combining the books in this series to give you a backstory on the places and people. I look forward to see what else she comes up. Great job Peggy and keep up the good work.

Harley’s hole is filling up!

The sage continues at Harley’s Hole. While Josie’s Valor could be a stand alone book it was such fun to revisit all of past characters that have ended up loving Harley’s Hole and the people that live there. The twists and turns that Peggy weaves throughout her latest book is such a fun read and left me anxiously waiting her next adventure.
