Summary

If your boss was the hottest rock star on the planet, would you mix business with pleasure?

Celebrity PA to wild boy of rock Johnny Jefferson, Meg Stiles' glam new life in sun-drenched LA is a whirlwind of showbiz parties and backstage passes. Cool, calm Christian, in town to write his famous friend's biography, helps keep Meg's feet firmly on the ground. But with Johnny's piercing green eyes and a body Brad Pitt would kill for, how long will it be before she's swept right off them again?

LOVE THIS BOOK

I loved this book. Did not want it to end so was glad to see that the story continued. Like all of Paige Toon's books it was very well written and leaves you with conflicting opinions of the characters. Highly recommended!

Drink, drugs & Womanizing!

I really wanted to like this story. The reader Nicky Diss is good at accents. The story starts out well with Meg off on a sudden exciting opportunity. I am afraid it's the multiple descriptions descriptions of Johnny being found in his own vomit after drinking, doing coke and bedding yet another young woman that I struggled with. I get that he is a bad boy but this is not such a fun comic romance book as many others out there like Lindsey Kelk. Fine if you like gritty romance. Not so good if you prefer light romantic comedies.

My favourite book.

It just really is the best book I’ve read/listened to! It’s just as good if not better the second time around and just really gets you in the feels!

Perfect dose of love'n rock, performed brilliantly

Johnny Be Good is a perfect dose of fun, love, glamour, and rock'n roll. It is the novel to make you fall in love with Paige Toon's universe, if you're not already stricken. I love its protagonist Meg who is smart but also a bit dazed, its rockstar Johnny and his mood-swings, its jokes, references and British cussing, and of course its to-be-continued kind of love story. Toon makes you want to stay inside Meg's head in the sequel, Baby Be Mine.

Before The Longest Holiday (and perhaps Pictures of Lily), Johnny Be Good was undoubtedly my favorite Toon-novel. I've read it several times as an ebook, and I keep returning to it.

As an audiobook, it is just as enjoyable. Especially because everything is not over-explained, and the chapters are perfect in length. Nicky Diss' narration is brilliant. It is exactly how I always imagined it should be. Her way of doing different characters is good too, and the audiobook is well produced with some sound effects.
