John Carter does our again - even better

Such classic space opera shouldn't be missed. John Carter meets new Martians and has to battle new foes and old. He makes it back to Barsoom (Mars) but is thwarted in finding home and family. In the mean time he has to solve a world of problems from false gods to evil villains that just won't stay down. Classic wiring style and beautiful language you don't hear much anymore. Well worth the listen as Scott Brick has style in reading that is a pleasure to listen to.

This book and the two before are the books they need for the John Carter movies.
This would have been three great movies.

Far-flung and delightfully engrossing

Quite an enthralling story, stretching from the south to the north of Mars, the villains and heroines and masterful heroes, chivalry and noble values, a masterpiece, whose interest, relevance, and enjoyment hold true today, every much as when it was first written long ago.

john Carter is a righteous man and loves his princess. he would stand up to any foe and face them down with his sword and courage!!! awesome 👌

The final book of the first Barsoom trilogy

This was the third book of the initial Barsoom / John Carter series. It concludes the introductory trilogy. If the series ended here, I believe everyone would have been happy with the situation. As it was, popular demand and publishers had other ideas. This series ran for several more volumes, while entertaining, were not quite as original as these first three books.

This volume concludes John Carter's desperate search for his missing wife, Dejah Thoris. He, quite literally follows her abductors from one pole of Mars to the other. Along the way he gains allies and enemies, all the while battling incredible beasts and hordes of men. All while staunchly remaining true to his goal and his principles.

The author is remembered best for two of his many creations, Tarzan and the Barsoom series. This is well deserved. If you like adventures, romance, exotic worlds, and virtuous heroes, you owe it to yourself to read this series. I cannot recommend any more highly.

Excellent narrator brought the story to life

I was very pleased with the third book in the series. Only after I purchased the same book earlier by a different narrator, John Bolen, did I realize that the narrator could make or break a book. Scott Brick delivered the goods. I was pulled into the story and made real in my mind,

Fast paced story and excellent narration. I loved every minute of it. Highly recommended book.

FANTASTIC!!!

I work as a Campus Safety officer at a university. I don't have time to read on my off duty time, however on lull times on graveyards, I listen to Audible. Of all the Audible books John Carter has been the best. The narrator is FANTASTIC.
