Having listened to previous Feist titles with Joyce as the narrator, whilst Bates is good he isn't a scratch on Joyce.

Asides from that, it just isn't quite top notch Feist: Ray himself said that the ending is so unfinished due to Steve Sterling being very late to his deadline, and generally quite uncooperative...

Peter Joyce is better than Matt Bates...

It was awesome to be in another part of the kingdom. Would have been nice to have had a little more of the riftwar woven into this story but as a stand alone story it was a great read!

I really love Jimmy in the original books & this is a great side story. It doesn’t really look into the character too much from what you already know but fills in gaps about what happened after the Krondon Saga. I didn’t think I would like the reader & in my opinion I prefer the original who read read rift wars but he did a great job & grew on me as the book went on. Enjoyable read
