Story
If you're a man of a certain age you'll know there comes a point in life when getting a sports car and over-analysing your contribution to society sounds like a really good idea. With a good job in sales and marketing and a nice house in Manchester that he shared with his wife and kids, John Bishop was no different when he turned the dreaded 4-0. But instead of spanking a load of cash on a car that would have made him look like a senior stylist at Vidal Sassoon, he stumbled onto a pathway that ultimately lead him to become one of the nation's best loved comedians.

Story
David Mitchell’s 2014 best seller Thinking About It Only Makes It Worse must really have made people think - because everything’s got worse. We’ve gone from UKIP surge to Brexit shambles, from horsemeat in lasagne to Donald Trump in the White House, from Woolworths going under to all the other shops going under. It’s probably socially irresponsible even to try to cheer up.

Mark Watson Makes the World Substantially Better: The Complete Series 1 and 2

Story
Mark Watson is not only a fantastic stand-up comedian, but he may also be the best chance we have to overcome sin. He's got a plan to teach us everything we need to know about the Six Deadly Sins (he knows it's usually seven, but he's doing Greed and Gluttony together as a special offer). In the second series, Mark turns his attention to the Six Virtues, guiding us through Courage, Patience, Generosity, Honesty, Diligence, and Humility. Mark Watson Makes the World Substantially Better is a mixture of stand-up, sketches and songs. There'll be life-changing advice, too, and even if this turns out to be bad advice, it'll still have good jokes in it.

Dylan Moran star of 'Black Books', 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Run Fat Boy Run' is about to spread a little happiness with a brand new live DVD for 2011. Ageing, religion, kids; relationships intertwine with the general absurdities of life. Searing observations and sumptuous imagery, painted across a large fraying canvas with cruel, curmudgeonly 'Moranesque' brush strokes are all delivered with Dylan's renowned, shambolic charm... Alfie Moore spent 18 years on the Humberside police force before turning to stand-up comedy. In each episode of this live stand-up show, he takes his audience through a scenario based on a real-life case and tasks them with deciding how they would have acted in the circumstances. From drink driving to a missing gnome, road traffic collisions to the tricky subject of Stop and Search, not to mention a case in which you must imagine what it would be like if Bruce Lee came from Scunthorpe and had been hammering the kebabs for 20 years....

Summary
Regarded as one of the fastest rising stars in the comedy world, his brash confrontational style has made him one of the most sought after comics on the world stage. Jim gets away with jokes that most comedians wouldn't touch due to his ability to both charm and offend the crowd in equal measures.
Recorded at The London Comedy Store, Hellbound, is Jim at his very best. Hard hitting unrelenting gags!
Critic reviews
"Rioutously funny...tirades increasingly hilarious as he withholds absolutely nothing, for all out laughs at any expense, Jeffries show has to come highly recommended." ( Chortle.co.uk)

How Funny???
I was introduced to Jim Jeffries by a friend who sent a link to the youtube web page showing Jim's stand up set. So it was a no brainer to download this audio comedy set.
On the bus, I laughed out loud several times, which is something that probably disturbed other commuters who did not see my earplugs!!
If you get easily offended by un-pc references, do not listen, if not, you are in for a treat.

Jim Jefferies is great but the audio sucks
The title says it all. If you like Jim Jefferies you will like the material as it is some of his older stuff. The problem is I have heard bootlegs of people recording sets in comedy clubs on i-phones that had better audio quality than this one. This one definitely is not worth a credit.

Jim Jeffries is as Funny as Hell!!!
Would you listen to Jim Jeffries again? Why?
I'm not only going to listen, I am going to see him live!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Porn store manager....duh.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was laughing so loud that I had to tone it down, lest the neighbors call the police.
Any additional comments?
I am about to lose my job, but, hell, I am going to survive on good karma, great music and lots of laughter!!!
