In the land of Grand Albion, six magickal guilds compete for the chance to rule. But hidden plots make the contest unfair. The strongest guilds are about to wipe out the weakest ...

A young orphan called Jed finds himself adopted by the crumbling Guild of Leaf. With skin as tough as bark, and the strength of a mighty oak, he has to learn to harness his powers, before he is thrown into battle for his guild's survival.

With the help of some new friends, Jed has to find a way to save his guild family and country from the clutches of the power-hungry Lord Cromwell and Lady Ireton.

Can he become the hero Jed Greenleaf?

Once you get past a pretty slow start which is a little generic this book turns into a fun adventure. The magic powers are pretty cool to read about and I like the intrigued of the conspiracy that slowly gets revealed. It’s well performed too even though there are a couple of long pauses that do interrupt the action every now and then. But overall a fun experience and will definitely be picking up the next one in the series

A fun adventure
