I’m a big fan of TopBoy and Jaq was my favourite character. I was hoping to see how her life moved on after the Netflix shows.
Most of the this book is what we already know and the highlights of the stuff so far from her side.
Just chucks in a couple of new characters the TopBoy stuff didn’t show but nothing interesting..
Just left me not feeling I learned much

I rarely leave reviews but have to say that Saffron Coomber does a brilliant job here - perfectly suited to the main character so that she takes you right back into the Top Boy world from Jaq’s perspective, but also she brings the other characters to life, giving each one their own distinctiveness. The story isn’t new but it’s strong and fleshes out some of the major events from the later series. Really good.
