After an unhappy childhood, 16-year-old Jane Eyre acquires the post of governess to a young girl at Thornfield Hall. Plain and poor Jane may be, but she is not to be intimidated by the owner of Thornfield Hall, Mr. Rochester, who tries to goad her into defending herself against his verbal pinpricks. As a backdrop to this duel of minds is evidence of a creature or phantom dwelling somewhere within these walls. Jane senses that something tragic must have occured in this place. She ascertains that Rochester knows what is going on, but is determined to keep it to himself. Jane is being drawn into a snare.

RUINED BY THE AMATEUR ACTOR PORTRAYING MR ROCHESTE
I am offended by the affront of the producer of this wonderful Bronte' adaptation to allow this DREADFUL actor to DESTROY what should be a good production of Jane Eyre by using this actor who has NO idea about acting, his vocals are APPALLING and all over the place. He tries to sing rather than speak! and uses a sigh at the end of most of his sentences. His performance is completely and utterly PAINFUL !!
I am disgusted that Audioscape have used this amateur actor when it has cost REAL MONEY to buy this RUBBISH !!
Like many, I have enjoyed many versions of Jane Eyre and this is the WORST performance of Mr Rochester and INSULTING.
