Summary

Doctor Erin Novak was only 16 when she was accused of a crime she didn't commit. Since that moment, she has made it her life goal to pursue emergency medicine, pouring her heart and soul into assuring another innocent life isn't lost to the hands of the wicked.

Detective Adam Trent has lost control of everything, starting with losing his partner to a punk with a gun and then everything else to the crushing guilt. Now a member of the elite Auto Theft Task Force in Philadelphia, it's his job to be one step ahead of the criminals stealing expensive cars in the city. Too bad the television cameras keep getting in the way of his investigation. A stolen car, a tragic chase, and a traffic stop crosses the fates of these two, tying them together in ways that are unimaginable. As their love and trust grows, so do the enemies that threaten their survival, testing the strength of their commitment. Can true love endure half-truths, past pains, and secrets never meant to be shared? Contains mature themes.

Not as expected

This book is hard going if I did not have it on audible I am sure that I would have thrown in the towel. Her previous books unrehearsed and unscripted were excellent but this leaves a lot to be desired sadly .

Perfect romance audio

This was beautifully narrated in dual pov. Adam Trent is hotness personified and Erin deserves him.

LOVE this book.

This book was so well written. The author gets you from the start. I loved Erin and Adam. The story just keeps you wanting more I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. The narration was excellent too. I loved having both male and female narrators. I loved the length of the story. it was long enough to keep you entertained. Would love to see a continuation of Erin and Adam's story.

Interesting

The story just keeps getting better. The intimate scenes are not over the top and well developed. The relationship between Doc and Cop is far from perfect which makes it a great journey. The secondary characters are funny, crazy, and add that little extra to the overall story. The story does have it painful moments that will bring tears to your eyes as well as lines that will have you smiling if not out right laughing. Great book.

Good but.....

This is my first book by this author and I will read or listen to more, I liked the overall book well enough, but....

The female character is a a doctor, not a student, she’s finished her residency and on to deciding her permanent course of practice in life. That takes maturity and determination. She did have a couple of events that were cause for baggage while she was a teenager, no doubt, but she was constantly looking for a reason to easily walk away from the relationship whether it was good or bad and at times her maturity level seemed that of a teenager. Her baggage is just that, things that cause caution or maybe some doubt, but not immaturity. After awhile this part of her personality was a little irritating.

The male lead.... Rock solid, baggage of his own, but within a short time, knows where he wants the relationship to go and doesn’t want things in his past or career to take a toll on their life together. What I didn’t like was the narration for him. Although the narrator did a good job, I’ve listened to his narration once before and had the same issue as this time. The tone of the narrator is that of a maybe late teens male. It just didn’t fit for me whenever picturing the described big, badass, special teams cop.

I will try another one as the scenes were indeed, HOT. The over story was good, just a few things that kept coming up the further into the book I got.

Confused

The book seemed confused whether it was a love story, crime story or a porn book. It varied amongst the three and the story itself was lost at times.

HOT, HOT, HOT Romantic, Suspenseful!

Would you consider the audio edition of Jacked to be better than the print version?

Both Molly and Cooper did an amazing job of narrating! They really brought Erin and Adam to life!

Any additional comments?

WOW this was an amazing hot, suspenseful read! I was drawn in right from the very first page. I guarantee when you are finished you will want your very own Adam Trent!

Adam is a HOT detective who is working on investigating a sold car ring. Erin is a trauma doctor working in the ER who meets Adam when she is pulled over for a case of mistaken identity.

This book has a little bit of EVERYTHING, romance, mystery, suspense and an amazing story-line. I can't wait to meet the next Trent Brother!

Very Sensual

I liked the way it was narrated. I couldn't care much for all the cursing but it really pulled me in to the story.

Great story worth the price!

I really enjoyed this book. I will definitely read more from this author. Plot was not terribly predictable, characters were likable and believable. Great read!
