From the Sunday Times and international bestselling author of Ragdoll, comes a heart-in-your-mouth thriller that will keep you up all night!

They call him the Jackdaw. On each body, he leaves a chilling signature: five scratches. And each time he kills, he takes a trophy, an eerie collection that grows with every strike.

No one knows what he looks like, where he'll strike next, or why. He could be your neighbour, your boss… your husband. There’s only a paralysing fear that, whoever he is, he's out there: watching, waiting.

Detective Scarlett Delaney’s neck prickles every time she hears the name Jackdaw. And now she’s been tasked with hunting him down before he kills again. But as she ventures deeper into a murky world of half-truths and clever lies, chasing the scant clues that Jackdaw leaves behind, Scarlett realises she isn't just hunting a killer. She's on his list.

Soon the lines between prey and predator begin to blur, and Scarlett discovers that trusting those around her might be her final, deadly mistake…

A totally gripping crime thriller with an AMAZING twist. If you loved Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh, The Chain by Adrian McKinty or anything by Jennifer Hillier you will race through Jackdaw.

I thought the narrator was very good and the story was brilliant! Loved it! Highly recommend!

Great story, didn’t want to stop listening.

This is my third book by this author and just like the others I enjoyed it. I did find parts of it funny ( the odd line here and there ) so it kind of lightened the load of the book as it had some not nice scenes on it.
The narrator was good. Not stupid accents , talked at a good speed.

Will be looking to read more.

Easy to listen to.

Format: audiobook
Narrator: Daphne Kouma

Who is this mysterious killer who seemingly commits the perfect murder in front of witnesses and leaves no trace?

A good serial killer mystery with a nice twist. Definitely worth a read.

Good narration also that adds to the enjoyment of the story.

I am returning this audio book.
I have tried, really but whilst the narrator's voice is fine, I just find it doesn't suit this story. I find the almost childlike and lighthearted banter style of delivery irritating, to my ears at least.
So I will settle in when time permits and read instead, as long as I can get the voice out of my head that is.

Voice does not suit the story

Reading the blurb this should have been the perfect book for me. - a notorious serial killer who commits seemingly impossible locked door murders is hunted by detectives Scarlett Delaney and Frank Ash. But ultimately it fell flat for me and I found my mind wandering as I listened. The plot seemed very contrived and I found most of the characters, especially Henry Devlin, extremely irritating. In fact the only likeable one was Frank.

Disappointing
