Passes the time!
This book is very mediocre but did make laugh maybe twice. The story follows Poppy, a good natured bimbo who is about to get married but then it all goes wrong because she loses her ring. Then follows a series of implausible events, firstly she gets her phone stolen but then... Hurrah! She finds a new one in a bin. But the owner of the phone, Sam, wants it back as he needs to get his emails. ( why he can't pick up his emails anywhere else is not explained). Anyway crucially, they 'share' the phone, as she 'needs' it, or she'll die. She then reads all his emails, and takes it upon herself to reply to everyone he knows. She also sticks diamanté decorations all over the phone (doesn't everyone decorate their phone??). Er, no Poppy, no one decorates their phone unless they are at primary school. He is annoyed yet decides that she has saved company he works for and has reformed his life. Meanwhile she doesn't like her in-laws -to-be because they use long words that she doesn't understand. And she hardly knows the man she is marrying. There are lots of penny-dropping moments for poppy, that the reader sees coming a few pages before... I found this annoying! Bless her, she's just a bit dim.

If you like implausible & silly
Had fun moments but overall this was like candyfloss for the brain. Sickly sweet and I didn’t gain anything of value. I usually like chick lit but I’m not on board with this level of dross. But.. it voiceover gal did a great job. That’s about the only positive.

A great listen from start to finish
I have listened to or read all of Sophie Kinsella's other books and thoroughly enjoyed them, so when I saw she had a new one out I instantly used my credit to download it. I've got your number did not disappoint. From the first chapter I was transported into Poppy's world and was reluctant to leave it when the book finished. As usual Sophie Kinsella does a great job getting you on side with the characters, and Clare Corbett does a fantastic job portraying the characters in her performance. I highly recommend this book.

A nice story in a "Bridget Jones" - type of way..
If you are in the mood for a british humored story, this is just the thing. Lots of embarassing moments, off key singing (yes - she really does sing), a lot of confusing texts and e-mails and little bit of love, but no big exclamations and only a few kisses. I did like the stoy, but it did not, as many other books have, keep me up at night. It a story you listen to, just for the fun of it, but is is not a story waiting for a sequal. I am normally mostly interested in romance fantasy books, but it did make for a nice little break, and I did laugh several times. If you are a Bridget Jones-type of girl - this is your type of book!
