Summary
I've lost it. The only thing in the world I wasn't supposed to lose. My engagement ring. It's been in Magnus's family for three generations. And now, the very same day his parents are coming, I've lost it.
The very same day. Do not hyperventilate Poppy. Stay positive!!
Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry the ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her 'happy ever after' begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring but in the panic that followed, she has now lost her phone. As she paces shakily round the hotel foyer she spots an abandoned phone in a bin.
Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect! Well, perfect except the phone's owner, businessman Sam Roxton doesn't agree. He wants his phone back and doesn't appreciate Poppy reading all his messages and wading into his personal life. What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other's lives through emails and text messages.
As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents... she soon realises that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

Fabulous, cringe worthy, laugh out loud
Where does I've Got Your Number rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
A favourite, I cringed and laughed all the way to the end.... was sad when it was over
What other book might you compare I've Got Your Number to, and why?
Shopaholic and Can you keep a secret.
Realistic likeable characters, who you turn red in embarrassment with and laugh with.
What does Finty Williams bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
The expressions and comedy timing were genius
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Moved no, crawl up and die with embarrassment yes, laughed at yes....

Great Stand Alone , New Novel.
Loved this book, it was so funny it made me cry with laughter. I found the ditzy heroine similar to Shopaholic Becky, but not a shopaholic of course, so she was still unique. This is Sophie Kinsella at her best, and I've Got Your Number, has to be one of her best, stand alone novels. So recommended for fans of chic lit, (what! are blokes books, i.e. gory thrillers and books about football and cars, Shakespeare?), What’s wrong with chic lit?
The heroine physiotherapist, and obsessive people pleaser, Poppy, is about to marry high class, ”genius” Magnus. She looses his family heirloom engagement ring, has her phone stolen, and all with her nuptials imminent! So when she finds a company phone, in a bin, she decides to use that lifeline, after all it was thrown away.
But the phones’ former owners have problems of their own, complicating life still further.
Poppy discovers, Magnus is a man who is more in love with being engaged, than her, and she develops feelings for the owner of the company phone, Sam. In the ensuing chaos, can Poppy sort her life out before its too late?
It was an easy listen, yes a bit obvious in parts, but a great laugh, so five stars to Sophie. Narration by Finty Williams was excellent, would have preferred it unabridged. But I got the book with one audible credit, on the day of release, so it was cheaper than purchasing the new release hardback

Sweet Story but Terrible Narrator
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Only to a younger friend, but only to read by themselves, not to listen to this audio version.
Would you recommend I've Got Your Number to your friends? Why or why not?
Only to a younger friend, but I thought it was predictable and a silly. Not my favourite Sophie Kinsella book.
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Finty Williams?
No-one. I thought her narration was terrible. She used the same tone over and over again and killed the story for me. I put it on 1.5 times faster to get through the story ASAP.
Was I've Got Your Number worth the listening time?
Only when sped up.

Just what I needed!!
Would you consider the audio edition of I've Got Your Number to be better than the print version?
I've not read the print version
Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked them all and felt I almost knew them personally.
Which character – as performed by Finty Williams – was your favourite?
Definitely the main character, Poppy! (Although there were times I wanted to shout at her to 'man-up') but my friend is very similar to Poppy, which made her even more believable.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I DID!! I was so caught up in the story and superb narration that I could NOT turn it off till it was finished :-)
Any additional comments?
My usual genre is crime/drama so this made a refreshing change.

Great Fun
I am so sorry i bought the abridged version of this book, I didn't see the unabridged underneath within the list. Anyway, apart from that I loved the book and Finty Williams narration.
Sophie Kinsella uses current technology in a witty and sophisticated way that I really enjoyed.
