Summary

It's natural to crave prosperity. Some seek to manifest it in myriad ways - using anything from vision boards to writing a pretend check for a million dollars from the bank of divinity. Yet whatever comes, or doesn't, the mind always seems to want more.

But what if there was a whole other way? Instead of grasping and chasing, what if we offered everything - our money (or lack of it), our triumphs, our problems, our desires - fully back to love? What if this offering itself was actually the secret to abundance?

Tosha Silver, internationally beloved spiritual guide, has created a practical and powerful financial audiobook unlike any other. Leading you through a deeply transformative eight-week process, she shares the mental, emotional, and spiritual steps that anyone can take to learn to fully receive and prosper. Her step-by-step guidance is filled with prayers, meditations, and stories to help you find and heal the source of these fears and unworthiness. As you come to know you are part of something larger - something that you serve and that longs to serve you - you begin to feel a new sense of freedom and abundance.

Actionable spirituality

This is a wonderful book. The advice is given in actionable steps and everything makes sense from both a spiritual and pyschological perspective. I love Tosha's approach. She has her feet on the ground and her soul in the clouds. She is a great guide.

Religious mumbo jumbo

Like some other listeners, I had this on 2x speed since the narration is painstakingly slow. I wonder if this was an intentional tactic to make the book appear more substantial than it was.

Indeed, this book is low on reliable wisdom and looks to the spiritual world of prayers and asking god for help. I found myself sighing every time I heard the narrator mentioning god, Jesus or prayer as an answer to her problems. If you are looking for practical and pragmatic approaches to money, you will not find them here any more than you would in a copy of the bible.

Worth buying on Audible

She reads slowly and somewhat mesmerisingly. At first I was tempted to turn the speed up but then didn't. If I was reading I might have skimmed through. Her slower style helps you take it in and receive the value of it.

Easier to listen to paint dry

I found the speed of narration so unbearably slow that I needed to play it at 1.15x speed just to make it tolerable.

Decided to return this as I didn't want to die from boredom.

I felt connected straight from the beginning.

I enjoyed this book a lot although the voice a little precocious. I am still using some of the practices in this book although surrendering isn't always an easy practice. Loved the impression of grandmother 😁

Great listen with lots of inspiring practices

I have just listened to this for the first time, I am now going to listen again and practice the methods. It’s a powerful book, that has opened my eyes, my heart and my soul to be more present and give my ego a well deserved rest. Thank you Tosha Silver for helping.

I nearly returned this title, but glad I didn’t.

This book isn’t for everyone. I struggled with the slow narration (listening at x1.5 helped, but having reached the end of the book I’m now laughing at the irony of my impatience), but I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. It has so much to teach about the surrender aspect of manifestation - something which is often skimmed over or omitted completely from many manifestation texts. It made the control in me narky, and in this instance, I think that was a good thing - I can sense I have much to learn from this text and will be returning to listen to it (and act on it) at normal speed soon.

Thank you, Tosha Silver and the Universe, for this book

I have to admit, I was a bit annoyed at how she was reading at first (it was too slow for me), but I adjusted fast and came to like the soothing pace of the audiobook. This book definitely hit home for me, as it will for everyone who is ready. It brought me to tears several times. This book is for all who are tired of chasing and trying hard to grasp every desire, those who are ready to let go of the burden. It's Not Your Money is helping me see The Law of Attraction in a different light. It's helping me see everything in a better light.

Not Your Average Money Book (That's a Good Thing!)

I have taken all the money manifestation courses and read all the books. I've gone to see Abraham to learn more about Law of Attraction, but nothing resonated as deeply as this book. I've been led by Spirit to move into a more surrendered way of life and because of that, the money manifestation courses no longer work because they want you to take action every day and sometimes not from an inspired place especially if it gets you money. I have been looking for a more Tao centered approach to money. I loved the Law of Divine Compensation by Marianne Williamson and I believe this book is equally if not more amazing because it details what you can do when things don't seem to be working and emphasizes the need to trust rather than act. I really appreciate this work and so happy to be able to integrate it. I feel more peaceful and less stressed about money and on the outside not much has changed. However, inside, I realize who is my Source and that has made a world of difference. Thank you, Tosha.

Great book, read by author!

First of all, it's always best when the author is the voice of the book. I took a class with Tosha many years ago and still use things she taught me about meditation and self-care for empaths every single day, and share them with others often. So maybe that makes me biased. But this book hits so many important notes, corrects some of the glaring biases of the "law of attraction" stampede, and offers honest to goodness action steps to shift my relationship to money. Yes it's already working, and I'm not finished the book yet. It's not one of those books that keeps telling you it's going to tell you how to do something and never quite gets there. It gets there, and gives me specific, do-able tasks, and paradigm-changing insights. What more could I ask for? Treat yourself.

Amazing!

This book was such a lifesaver for me. I saw the title and immediately knew it would be life changing. The way Tosha speaks and how she articulates the divine in all of us is profound. I usually don’t finish my audible books but this one had me hanging on each word until the end.

Ancient and New

I enjoyed the wisdom and inspiration offered in this book about aligning with source to be more abundant in all areas of life. I had to speed up the narration, but otherwise, really loved listening to the ideas presented in this book. I look forward to this magic unfolding in my own life now. I highly recommend this book to anyone!

Um...

Tosha Silver’s suggestions are helpful. Spirit can heal all. And some of her meditations are beneficial. But it was hard for me to resonate with her.

There is a certain conceit in this book. A voice of privilege. Most likely authentic to the authors very real privilege. It’s very eat, pray, love. It prevents her from addressing poverty of spirit.

You can see that her conception of problems is shallow. For example those who have been ‘cosmically’ downsized. Or those who have affluence but find it doesn’t reach their heart. Or those with few material wants, but high anxiety. It’s not hard to reconcile with wealth from that standpoint. You are mentally denying facts. Almost like a wealth dysmorphic disorder.

But what of those that are handed messages of hate, or abused, or addicted, or marginalized? I suppose she didn’t expect them to have the disposable income to purchase such a frivolous item. Anyway, their plight is not pretty. Nor is it a conversation from the top 5th percentile to other top 5ers. It’s raw. And even those of us who have come through it intact still feel the grasping of deep unworthiness. It would have been nice to hear something about achieving liberation from pain that feels like it’s bonded to your DNA.
