Summary

It's been 10 days, two hours and 43 minutes since Tansy got dumped. Two heartbreaking weeks since Renzo, who made her weak at the knees and dizzy with excitement, found out Tansy’s secret - and ended it on the spot.

Since then, she’s spent every evening scrolling through their old photos, drunk texted him 26 times (he stopped reading after five), and lost count of how many packets of Kleenex she’s cried her way through. But while she’s busy pretending, Tansy’s plan is thrown a major curveball. She has to learn the hard way that it’s not her, it’s him - and that sometimes, a breakup can end up being the making of you.

Some of my fave tropes, none of the toxic ones

A great, almost light hearted read. The plot revolves around a romance but heavily features girls supporting girls. There is some mention of home life difficulties, sex work, eating disorders, and more. I really enjoyed this story and left feeling pretty good. The performance was also good overall, though difficulty performing the accent, I think. it didn't detract from the quality of my entertainment, however.

Easy listen

This was an easy listen and a good story but frustrating too. The main character didn’t respect herself and allowed her to be treated badly and feel like she deserved it which annoyed me. But overall it’s a good story just bare with it.

Easy Fun Listen!

I really enjoyed this book it was a nice easy simple listen to the daily life of a young woman who Struggles through life, remembering insecurities from school and insecurities within a present daily life. In the background she still struggles with an eating disorder but refuses to do anything about it, not realising that the disorder, insecurities and her self-doubt are all combined And preventing her from freely moving through life… Can’t say anymore you need to read ...Not too intense just easy!

More than I expected

Touched on so many interesting subjects, yes it may have been a bit predictable but the journey there was really worth it.

A fun read, narration a bit annoying

This is an easy, entertaining listen with a fairly predictable ending but fun nonetheless! The narration is a bit annoying with an accent that sometimes sounds like she’s trying to be American - it didn’t put me off listening but I know it’s something that can be too annoying for other people.

presenter voice wasn't for me.
ok to have on in the background but if you left the room you wouldn't miss much.

Like a novel I attempted to write when I was 13

Very immature writing style. The funny bits just weren’t funny and felt try hard and awkward. The narrator has a very put on posh accent and she mispronounces so many words it’s cringe worthy! I’m halfway through now as I got it as a bogof offer I decided not to return.... but don’t waste money or a credit on it!

Pleasant Story

Enjoyed the story but sadly Jessica Preddy's voice is too sweet and prissy, spoilt the story a bit for me...sorry Jessica x
