About this listen

It's been 10 days, two hours and 43 minutes since Tansy got dumped. Two heartbreaking weeks since Renzo, who made her weak at the knees and dizzy with excitement, found out Tansy’s secret - and ended it on the spot.

Since then, she’s spent every evening scrolling through their old photos, drunk texted him 26 times (he stopped reading after five), and lost count of how many packets of Kleenex she’s cried her way through. But while she’s busy pretending, Tansy’s plan is thrown a major curveball. She has to learn the hard way that it’s not her, it’s him - and that sometimes, a breakup can end up being the making of you.

A great, almost light hearted read. The plot revolves around a romance but heavily features girls supporting girls. There is some mention of home life difficulties, sex work, eating disorders, and more. I really enjoyed this story and left feeling pretty good. The performance was also good overall, though difficulty performing the accent, I think. it didn't detract from the quality of my entertainment, however.

Some of my fave tropes, none of the toxic ones

Funny, honest and relatable. Fantastic narration and an engaging story. Didn't want it to end!

Loved it

Not hilarious or even comedy really. A good story. The narration wasn’t great and I really struggled with that in the beginning, by about chapter 13 I was getting used to it.
Predictable ending but you just have to listen to know how it plays out. Not great but definitely worth a listen.

A good story…

l am pleasantly surprised as I really enjoyed this book! Me and Sophie Ranald's books have a weird relationship, a bit like marmite! I have actually returned one of her books.

In saying that I have to say I really have enjoyed this listen. It was a good Chicklit book and the only time I felt mad at the female protagonist is when she wanted back her ex boyfriend ~who treated her like crap!

It's strange how strong these young woman are in their careers but are completely different when it comes to their love lives. This book is a prime example.

I actually enjoyed the storyline. Jessica Preddy is a fantastic 'British' clear narrator.
Yes, I would recommend this if it is a £3 listen or a 2 for 1 credit but it's not worth a whole credit ~ just being honest!

The best Sophie book I have listened too 3🌟🌟🌟

This was an easy listen and a good story but frustrating too. The main character didn’t respect herself and allowed her to be treated badly and feel like she deserved it which annoyed me. But overall it’s a good story just bare with it.
