Climb the Isles, Build his Team, Select his Goddess, Become the Isekai Champion

When a bridge collapses, Ryan should have died. Instead, his refusal to succumb is noticed and he is saved. A sage being transports him to a strange magical realm filled with floating islands, deadly battles, sinister puzzles, and unique challenges.

Not everything is dire, the climb to become a champion generates opportunities and a few lovely new allies. Joined by Companions brought forth to aid his quest, Ryan must ascend to the peak to claim his place as a true Champion, and maybe have a little fun along the way.

There too many trials and, fights. Not enough time for characters to develop because we're on to the next trial with no real variation or suprise in the plot.
There just didn't seem to be anything memorable or unique about the setting.

The voice actors rescued this from being completely forgettable although the female VO could have done with more variation in the ascents used. They could use beta listeners also to catch a few editing errors.

Poor pacing, mediocre litrpg.

Fun concept to see that someone doesn't just become the Champion or Chosen One but need to pass a rigorous test first. I did enjoy this book and hope to see more
