Summary

After a deadly ambush in Iraq leaves two soldiers in terrorist hands, intelligence officer Eric Ritter journeys into hostile territory to rescue them. The Caliban Program, a covert arm of the CIA, gives him permission to use any means necessary in his search. Means forbidden by his oaths as an officer. Faced with hostile Iraqis and a terrorist leader bent on revenge against him, Ritter must navigate through a perilous counterinsurgency and keep his true allegiance hidden from his brothers-in-arms.

The story is fine, i made the mistake of listening to book 2 before listening to book 1 ....school boy error !

Performance however was dire ! The quality of the recording was amateurish, not at all what i have come to expect from Audible. But even worse was the morose, monotone voice that narrates it. There is little or no emotion, the timing is off and the emphasis seems all wrong. I am not sure i can bear to listen to the rest of the series.
