Long months have passed since Siris and the God King, enemies betrayed together, were left to rot in the prison at the Vault of Tears. Their true enemy - the Worker of Secrets, creator of the Infinity Blade itself - now reigns.

Upon finally obtaining freedom, Siris must unravel plots that seem to make no sense, lead a rebellion with no direction, and fight against the division within his very heart. The secrets unraveled will dig backward in time toward the origins of the deathless and the true nature of the world itself....

From number one best-selling author Brandon Sanderson and ChAIR entertainment, creators of the blockbuster Infinity Blade video game series, comes the second novel in the epic Infinity Blade saga.

This latest tale delves deeper into the fantastical world of Infinity Blade, a world of mystery and intrigue where magic and technology are indistinguishable and even life and death are not as they seem.

nothing overly unique/groundbreaking in this series but it's a fun read and packed full of action. again, I'm just left wishing for more!

I found this sequel a lost opportunity. The story expanded from the first book with greater scene setting. Again the narration was excellent with some brilliant voice work for the minor side characters. All in all it was ok but no award winner.

This was a short read, but still pretty exciting. Interesting how they jump from fantasy to more realistic office worker scenarios

Short, but exciting

I’m gonna preface this by saying that I have been a fan of the games for years, played all 3 way back when and only got around to reading the books now when I realised they were on audible. Though I liked them I was always kinda lost on what was happening since so many chunks of info was left out, but having read these 2, this one in particular, it filled in most of the blanks, so if you’re a fan of the series this is definitely worth reading, and if you’re not, you probably will be pretty lost at times.

The actual story itself is pretty interesting actually. It was really short which is pity but for what it is it offers a lot. The characters are solid, the world building is interesting enough and the way Sanderson develops these game ideas into fully realised worlds is impressive. The reading however, especially when voicing the worker, felt a bit off putting at times. That being said Radriars lines are 10/10.

A compelling intersection for an amazing game
