Both books are a really fun read (listen?) with lovable characters and some great world building that gets better the farther you go in. It does use a lot of cliche (like mana and threat levels and such), but spins them in unique ways.

The voice acting is a pleasure to hear; especially by the professor, who smashes the role. Personally I think the second book is the better of the two, particularly the lead up to the ending. The concept has a natural formula which begs for more sequels.

Brianna is definitely the highlight.

Story gets very VERY sexual near the halfway point of the first book so be prepared.

If you are a fan anime like Rosario Vampire, you'll definitely enjoy this read!

The way the narrators cover the characters is extremely well done and the story line is great. It would be good to have another book to the series with another lady to the harem. Well done Brandon

I love the magic school genre of anime and it was a relief to have a protagonist who wasn’t so oblivious to the world outside of their studies. The MC is no moron and is rather capable.

I can’t wait to see how his power grows and what adventures Brandon can take Anthony on. The anime tropes were well used so I could feel the familiarity I had with the genre but not overly done so the story progressed well. Loved every minute and ended up reading this book in 1 sitting. Can’t wait for book 2.

I generally enjoyed the book and found it very engaging.
the premises interesting and the characters are a bit generic but still very funny to listen to, although I believe that the narrators play a big part in this.

my only hang up, and this is not necessarily a negative, Is that the story sounds VERY similar to story of Strike the Blood. granted there are aspects that have been changed, however there is a lot that is too similar to disregard for me... what this has done, is made me want to rewatch the anime again!
