Summary

Contains books one and two of Incubus, an urban harem fantasy series.

Incubus 1

Anthony Amasius likes to pretend he’s nothing but a simple college student attending the Institution of Magical Sciences on Academy Island. The truth is that he’s far from simple. Anthony is the only incubus in the entire world, though he refuses to bond with any one woman. Right now, his only goal in life is honoring the woman he loved and lost and bringing his younger brother out of a coma.

Incubus 2

Anthony’s life has become much more stimulating since Brianna became his bondmate. Unfortunately, he’s become so enamored with her that he’s forgotten one simple fact: No one woman can keep up with him in the sack. In order to bring out his full potential and give his bondmate a break, he needs to bond with at least six more women....

Awesome Stuff

I love the magic school genre of anime and it was a relief to have a protagonist who wasn’t so oblivious to the world outside of their studies. The MC is no moron and is rather capable.

I can’t wait to see how his power grows and what adventures Brandon can take Anthony on. The anime tropes were well used so I could feel the familiarity I had with the genre but not overly done so the story progressed well. Loved every minute and ended up reading this book in 1 sitting. Can’t wait for book 2.

The narrators were incredible.

Great story

The way the narrators cover the characters is extremely well done and the story line is great. It would be good to have another book to the series with another lady to the harem. Well done Brandon

MC with a woeful lack of agency

This is a prime example of how to write a story with a protagonist who doesn't actually drive the events of the book, hell, in book 2, he spends most of it drugged and asleep.
I don't mind a story where the main character starts off weak and gets stronger, but there's just something about the way this book is written that makes it so that the MC's a passenger in the story.
Great narration by Gabriel and Rebecca though.

super worth your time

I had just finished a pretty heavy book emotionally speaking and this was a nice light enjoyable story that I can't wait for the next installment. I think you would enjoy just as much as I did and I think you should give it a shot. by the way the narrator's are top-shelf. well done all around.

good story

I usually say nothinga unless the book is terrible or excellent. I thought the basic story was good. but consideringa the MC is an incubus and his only bond mate is a timid virgin high school student who just turned 18. and the second one also a virgin. the sex scenes were uncomfortable.
the narration was ok but the excessively hard "G" sounds at end if words was irritatinga. it sounded very wrong.
I was pleased the story moved nicely.

Both terribly written and poor narrator

The narrator sounds like he is giving out ikea installation. The story is bland and poor, and oh god the sex scenes is like it was written by a thirteen years that just found out about sex

first draft?

everything from the way the book is written to the narration feels like it was done by an ambitious amateur. its kind of entertaining in how bad it is. The concept is fun, but that's about it.

Episodic hentai light novel

If you know what to expect, these books are... ok. Shallow characters, anime action, some ecchi/fanservice, and a handful of explicit but not particularly erotic sex scenes. Also, there are some suspiciously strong parallels to the "Strike the Blood" anime series.

Things that lowered the score for me: 1) the main antagonist was a near "Team Rocket" level caricature; 2) the male narrator spoke with a sufficiently odd inflection that I wondered if it was an artificial text-to-speech engine.

Echo

Not going to acquire anymore of this series. I liked the story premise. I liked the narrator. What I had a hard time with was how repetitively repetitive it was. If you enjoy a story where one character describes something, then the next character repeats the same almost word for word, then this book is for you. If you like basic story premise concepts described in one chapter then later in the same chapter (not even in subsequent chapters, but then again in later chapters also), then this book is for you. The story is good, most of the dialogue (except the repetition) is good, and the narration is varied and diverse.
