While the intro to this book interested me, and the premise seemed to be creative, it unfortunately just doesn’t have any fun with its concept. It’s clearly trying to evoke scooby doo, but with none of the charm and so much darkness with so little levity that it just comes across as more dower and saddening than scary. I won’t lie, I was rather disappointed with this after the amazing time I had with In the Drowning Deep.
