"In This Grave Hour," the thirteenth book in the Maisie Dobbs series, is another excellent mystery brimming with the atmosphere and anxiety of the now officially declared war. Winspear describes 1939 London (and several other locations) so masterfully you feel you are rushing through the capital's streets along Maisie in pursuit of truth and justice.
It's a classic Maisie Dobbs tale full of thrilling investigation, intelligent observation and impressive depth of understanding of the human spirit. Very enjoyable and most recommended!
