Perhaps the best so far!

Where does In This Grave Hour rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I am a huge fan of Jacqueline Winspear so I have enjoyed them all, but this story is particularly good as it is well organised and gripping while including all the usual psychology and good advice.

What was one of the most memorable moments of In This Grave Hour?

You'll have to read it to find out, but there is a very interesting bit at the beginning! And an indication of more stories to come at the end!

Any additional comments?

I recommend all the books, but if you have not read any of them, you should start with the first book as it explains the background to the main characters and how Maisie got to be where she is now.

Another wonderful story

I hope that one day that Maisie will find love and happiness one day

I like these stories because myself and my daughter can sit together and listen without fear of foul language or comment

A Habit of Secrets

Intricate, gripping tale, perfectly narrated. So many issues, so much idealism, so many broken hearts. caused by secrets. RECOMMENDED

Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This book was excellent. It was so well read by Julie Teal I thought there was a full cast of superb actors. The story was engaging and moving. Because I have listened to a few Marie Dobbs novels, I feel like I know the main characters with a warm familiarity now.

My favourite story so far!

Jacqueline Winspear finds facts about the war that are little known are weaves these wonderful tales around the facts. I am aware I am nearing the end of the series and so am trying to savour these last few books...

No surprises but blandly entertaining

Familiarity with just about everything from before sometimes is what a listener sometimes needs.
Gratefully, there are fewer of the usual overdone ,clichéd dialogue sequences which are often found in "light" genre fiction.
Be prepared for the plodding plot.
