Bible Belt religious leaders suffered a surprising political hit in Mississippi this week. A strange referendum called the Personhood Amendment was defeated by the voters, and phew! says Susie. This group was advocating that life begins at fertilization, or with the twinkle of an eye, and they wanted to demolish current abortion-rights laws.
