After listening to book 1, Toxic, I couldn't wait to listen to Dante's twins story and it didn't disappoint. 


Like Dante and Bridget, Gianni and Cara's story started when they were at school together, they were meant for each other but Gianni just couldn't commit to a relationship with Cara and every time she gave him another chance, he messed it up.  Well, this time Cara is determined not to give into him, she wants to protect herself from being hurt again and by ignoring Gianni's warnings, she ends up in danger, and only Gianni can save her, but at what cost?


The chemistry between these two was smoking hot from the start.  Despite their love/hate relationship, it is probably the most passionate I have read in the Mafia series, at one point it seemed more about their chemistry than anything else however, that was also probably down to the chemistry created between the narrators, seriously Aaron Shedlock's voice is amazing and just right for Gianni. One of the things I particularly love about Maggie Cole and this series is that she is not frightened to have our steamy hot characters in their forties and boy, do they have fun!  

I loved how Gianni saved Cara and immediately married her to protect her but will marriage be enough, especially with the long anticipated fashion week arriving as well as the ongoing battle with the Abrizzo's. What follows is a rollercoaster of a ride, full of action, passion, a story that has unexpected twists and turns and of course, steam...lots of steam. Killian and Arianna also make an appearance which I loved with Killian continuing to bring humour to some serious scenes.  


I can't wait to read more about the middle brother, Massimo, and the librarian in the next book.  Maggie Cole never fails to deliver a story that you really can't stop listening to, she always manages to choose the right narrators, Aaron and Stella were perfect together, bringing this story truly to life.


If you love a dark mafia, second chance romance then this book (and the whole Mafia Wars series) is for you.

We a plethora of incredible secondary characters, we get some we love, some we hate and some we love to hate! Plus, we get a cameo from Tully, as he comes to the aid of the Marinos and some time with Adriana and Bridgit. It’s always fun to get those interconnected stories seeing characters we love. Cole has another winner on her hands an leaves us with a teaser so we know we want more! I can’t wait for the next installment.

When you saw Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock as the narrators, I knew I was in for a treat! Hunter brings out all the stops as Cara, creating a feisty, strong woman that is fantastic. Shedlock, do I even have to say what I think? He brings it all as the alpha, sexy, overprotective man that Gianni is. Together this team is magic and made this story even better.

This storyline had me hooked from the first chapter. With brilliant characters that I have come to love for over the previous books I really did enjoy this exciting storyline. With lots of heart in mouth Moments you will not be disappointed with this audio. Fantastic performance from both narrators.

This is the second book in the Mafia Wars NY series, a dark Mafia Romance. This is a great enemies-to-lovers, and second-chance to love. Cara and Gianni's story is suspenseful, emotional, and entertaining, filled with danger and twists and turns. I liked their banter. The supporting characters are great. Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward for more in the series.

loving this new series of mafia wars new York and the 2nd book in this series didn't disappoint!!!!
I have read the book and love hearing it brought to life through good narration
Cara and Gianni have a love / hate relationship with alot of history between them, listening to them is a seesaw of emotions before they get too their hea.
Loved 😍 it a must listen xxxx
