About this listen

Four hilarious episodes from the cult BBC Radio comedy

Step into the world of Radio Prune, described by Barry Took as "a kaleidoscope of funny voices, catch phrases, and innuendo, revolving at breakneck speed and with a complete disregard for logic", the sketch comedy I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again ran for 8 successful years on BBC Radio and quickly developed a devoted youth following. Live tapings of the show enjoyed very lively audiences, a tradition that continued into the spinoff show I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue.

Enjoy this fine live showcase presenting the comic talents of Tim Brooke-Taylor, John Cleese, Graeme Garden, David Hatch, Jo Kendall and Bill Oddie.

Warning: contains strong language and humour that reflects the era in which it was first broadcast.

Classic British comedy

What other book might you compare I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again to, and why?

Not really relevant, as this is sketch comedy, not a book.

This is the best of the ISIRTA collections by far.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, over and over again.

Any additional comments?

Essential listening for fans of John Cleese and the Goodies.

Absolutely hilarious

It must have been so much fun to be in the audience. I used to have these on cassette! I still laugh at all the corny jokes. The humour isn't for everyone occasionally pythonesque but fully recommended.

Chaotic timeless sketch show

I was quite disappointed. A great cast but constant shouting and screaming ruined my enjoyment.

Expected better.
