About this listen

I am learning Serbian: 300 essential words and phrases, 140 common expressions, the 100 most common verbs, the 1000 essential Serbian words. Serbian also called Serbo-Croat, Serbo-Croat-Bosnian (SCB), Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian (BCS), or Bosnian-Croatian-Montenegrin-Serbian (BCMS) is a South Slavic language and the primary language of Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. It is a pluricentric language with four mutually intelligible standard varieties. It is spoken by 21 million people.

How to learn a language differently? Today, language learning is revolutionized: you do not have to go to traditional language classes anymore. Our learning method : a selection of hundreds of phrases and essential words. You listen to them, you repeat them, and you speak. We rely on pronunciation, oral rehearsal, listening, combined with words, essential phrases, and a vocabulary list. 20% of the words are used 80% of the time. The end goal is to get a sufficient level in one language to be able to hold simple conversations, to be able to understand simple exchanges, deal with everyday life and start exploring the new culture that opens up to you.

I bought this book as I have moved to Serbia for nine months and thought this book would be perfect in helping me learn the language. Frankly speaking, this is absolutely rubbish, the phrases are spoken too quickly making sentences sound like one word. after playing it to my Serbian friends they just laughed at how grammatically incorrect the whole thing is. Total waste of time and money.

Grammatically incorrect - would not recommend!

way too hard from the beginning, no explanations, just repeat sentences without knowing the definitions of words
