Summary

She’s got curb appeal. He’s a fixer upper....

From New York Times best-selling author Helena Hunting comes a new kind of love story about flipping houses, taking risks, and landing that special someone who’s move-in ready. I Flipping Love You is a sexy, spirited audiobook that will have listeners begging for more!

Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life. Spending summers in the Hamptons was a normal occurrence for her until her parents lost everything years ago. Now Rian and her sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property. But when she catches the attention of a sexy stranger who snaps up every house from under her, all bets are off....

Pierce Whitfield doesn’t normally demo kitchens, install dry wall, or tear apart a beautiful woman’s dreams. He’s just a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons. When he first meets Rian, the attraction is undeniable. But when they start competing for the same pieces of prime real estate, the early sparks turn into full-blown fireworks. Can these passionate rivals turn up the heat on their budding romance - without burning down the house?

Flipping for Love

I have loved Helena Hunting Pucked and the Shacking up series and I couldn't wait for this book especially since these are two of my favorites narrators.

Even though I thought this was a great story line, I didnt entirely connect with the characters. Well more specifically Rian. You see, the story is about two twin sisters who are realtors/partners and have kept their father's criminal background a secret, while developing real estate business. Our hero, Pierce is a patent lawyer who comes from a wealthy family and he and his brother are buying homes in the Hamptons and renovating the houses while is is taking a break from the law firm. The girls become their realtors. So before long sparks fly between Rian and Pierce. Normally, this should be the good part for me, but unfortunately this is where it fell flat.

For me, there is a fine line between a female character who is being tough, independent or jaded vs bitchy. Pierce was so sweet throughout the book, but Rian was so cold, distant and bitchy throughout most of the book that it was hard for me to see why Rian would keep chasing her. Even Rian's personality ruined the sex scenes for me.

Yet, with that being said, the book was still 4 stars because it has a great plot and strong narrators. I only wish there was a bit more humor and passion between the characters. It is worth the purchase especially if you have already been reading the shacking up series or enjoyed the Pucked series. 4 stars.

I Flipping LOVE Pierce!

Wow! I can’t really put into words the way I feel after reading this book. I know Helena has an amazing ability to write heroes that I will fall for—no matter what. Honestly, she hasn’t written a man I haven’t wanted to drop to my knees for.

OH, is that too much? EH. You’ll be okay. But let’s get to Pierce and Rian (with an i).

You may remember Pierce from Hooking Up. He’s mentioned briefly since he’s Anarachy Amie’s brother. You know the lawyer brother? The one you kinda wanted to know more about, but you weren’t focused on that because you were too focused on Sexy Lexy?

Yeah, that Pierce. And OMG. Pierce. I don’t even have the mental capacity after that wild ride. He’s sweet, kind, caring, generous (in bed and out), and just amazing. As soon as I finished this, I messaged my best book girlfriend and RAVED about Pierce. I crazily explained how I just couldn’t handle how perfect this book was. The writing, the characters, the story. All of it is perfect. The back and forth, the push and pull, the lust and love. It’s. All. Perfect.

Absolutely Flipping Perfect.

Where do I go from here? Because I'm going to need more from this Shacking Up world and I'm gonna need it in a way that only Helena Hunting can deliver.

Hilarious and heartfelt

Helena Hunting has become an auto one click for me since I read Pucked but this was even better! Hilarious but still full of emotion, like always her characters have depth and we get to know them while laughing at their antics, melting from all the sizzling heat and feeling their frustrations. The h and H meeting was so funny! Romcom at its finest! I switched back and forth between audio and ebook and the narration was spectacular.

God, you're something else.

I Flipping Love You is the third book in the Shacking Up Series. Each book is unique and can be read as a stand-alone. In I Flipping Love You, we get the heartwarming and tender story of the spunky Rian Sutter and the rich and suave Pierce Whitfield.

Rian Sutter and her twin sister have fought hard to overcome the hardships from their past. Both working to build their real estate business and gain success, the girls have made a home for themselves in the Hamptons. Rian seems to have maintained a healthy balance in her life until Pierce crashes in and shakes everything up! Pierce, also dabbling in the real estate business, is one hot alpha male in whom you do not want to "mess" with. Rian and Pierce are instantly drawn to one another, and yet, each has their own secrets. Although they appear to be quite opposite of each other, they are in fact a perfect match. And yet, with so much baggage between them, they are both scared to get too close!

Told in multiple POV, I Flipping Love You is funny, passionate, and a beautiful tender romance. The journey in which Rian and Pierce travel together is full of plenty of twists and turns. The chemistry between Rian and Pierce flows naturally and as the trust (and passion) between them continues to grow, both discover that they cannot live without each other. In addition to the strong central characters, Ms. Hunting offers a stunning cast of supporting characters that enhance the story and add dimension (and drama) to the plot.

Overall, I highly recommend anything written by Helena Hunting. She has a unique writing style full of witty text and complex characters. If you are looking for a light, and yet complex, contemporary romance full of passion and tender romance than look no further, I Flipping Love You is an absolute must read!

Eh

I haven’t even finished this book yet, but there are already some things that are annoying me. The first is that there is too much internal dialogue especially on Rian’s end. She barely has conversations with other characters all we hear from her are her internal thoughts. The second is the narrator for Rian. Her voice is a bit nasally and somewhat annoying. I do like the guys narration I think he does a good job. The third is why in books like these do they always have to reiterate how good looking someone is. Like they will describe how good looking someone is a million times in one story. WE GET IT THEY’RE CUTE. GHEESH!!!
