The simple pleasure of sitting in silence, watching the sunset, or enjoying the crackle of a fire as you share a meal can often have a greater effect on our souls than any material thing.

Hygge is more than just a concept. It is a way of being and living that has been adopted by countless numbers of people throughout Scandinavia and the wider world and reflects a coziness that encompasses the positivity and enjoyment that one can get from simple everyday things.

It does not need to cost a lot of money and can be as humble as having a warm fire and enough food to eat.

Inside this audiobook, you will find six chapters which give in-depth information on what Hygge is and how you can apply it, including:

  • Where Hygge comes from
  • The fundamental principles of Hygge

A well-written book

A well-written book, although short and simple. I was able to read this in a single evening. It was an interesting combination of an academic read on studies behind hygge along with simple, practical steps that one could take to incorporate hygge into their life.

This is the perfect book for all

This is the perfect book for someone new to Hygge, although I believe those who have been practicing Hygge for some time would find new insights about this way of living as well. The author touches on so many aspects of the culture, I learned far more than I anticipated from this easy read! From the history of Hygge to applying it to our modern, everyday life, to recipes and craft ideas, I found myself slowing down, buying candles and cheerfully rearranging my home from the inspiration of the book.

Five Stars

I loved this book! I started learning about the Danish concept of hygge about two years ago. I was utterly captivated by the lifestyle and knew I wanted to implement it in my life. While this book discusses and educates the reader as to what hygge is, it's beauty is in the many ideas the author shares for adding hygge to your life. Simple, easy ways to add peace and coziness to your life! A guide I'm sure I'll refer to regularly.

Good Hygge Guide

Before reading this book I didn't even know how to pronounce Hygge. This book really has made a beautiful impact on my outlook on everyday life.. It makes you really appreciate and find joy in little things, such as dim lighting from candles, filling the house with comfort food and scents from baking fall recipes to enjoying the fireplace crackle.

Hyyge could be the secret to great relationships! The idea of sharing a comfort zone with others is much needed in an increasingly uncomfortable world.

Easy To Follow Book

Easy to understand, nice to think about, well written. However, I left feeling like I didn't gain a whole lot of new information since I had looked at hygge info graphics beforehand.

Hygge Explained

This is a wonderful introduction to Hygge. It has caused me to reevaluate how I look at the moments in my life, even the moments I'm not crazy about and try to include more Hygge in them. I recommend this book! It's the perfect winter book with a fire in the fireplace and a good cup of coffee.
