Summary

Part autobiography, part self-help, part confession, part celebration of being a common-or-garden woman, part collection of synonyms for nunny, Sarah Millican's debut audiobook delves into her super normal life with daft stories, funny tales and proper advice on how to get past life's blips - like being good at school but not good at friends, the excitement of IBS and how to blossom postdivorce.

If you've ever worn glasses at the age of six, worn an off-the-shoulder gown with no confidence, been contacted by an old school bully, lived in your childhood bedroom in your 30s, been gloriously dumped in a Frankie and Benny's, cried so much you felt great, been for a romantic walk with a dog or worn leggings two days in a row even though they smelt of wee from a distance, then this is your audiobook. If you haven't done those things but wish you had, this is your audiobook. If you just want to laugh on a train/sofa/toilet or under your desk at work, this is your audiobook.

Im a 20 year old man.

Given my age and sex, I doubt I'm Sarah's target audience but this book is fantastic! Every chapter had me laughing. She has a great talent for mixing together funny anecdotes with great advice and serious solutions to serious problems. Couldn't stop listening!

5 Champion Stars

One of the most enchanting women reads one of the sweetest autobiographies.

Sarah welcomes you into her life through food, jokes, honest storytelling, animals and a little self help advice.

We often see Comedians put out interesting and funny books. This is the one that you need to actually pick up and take home.

The audio narration, editing and production was top notch. Highly recommend.

A honest a humourous account of how Sarah came to be (Choice words included) one of the UK's best comedians. Funny throughout.

Not my cup of tea.

Bought this after seeing her on lunch TV
She seemed good on tv, but when I started to listen to her on Audible I realised that it was not something I wanted to listen to anymore so deleted it
Very crude
Thank goodness I didn't have to pay for this!

Honest & Funny

Not for the faint hearted but incredibly funny and very honest. I felt as If I’d been through a few hours of counselling !!! Despite it being Sarah’s bio, a lot resonated with me. Thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Unnessesaryly filthy

Shame. I was hoping for much better. Struggled to make it to the end. I just thought it might get better. it didn't.

Not an autobiography!

Was looking forward to this but it is a disjointed compilation of a few events in her life. No real chronology or insights. Looks like it was put together during a wet weekend in Whitley Bay as a money maker.

Funny and thought provoking

A brilliant listen .
Sarah’s unique views on life made for an excellent book. She is funny and down to earth, risqué in places and totally honest in her observations.
I really enjoyed listening to this audible book
